Ross was actually our highest-graded defender across the entire league in Week 1, just pipping out Darron Lee (94.5) who was brilliant on Monday Night Football. However, with only 17 snaps, that’s not enough for Team of the Week honors but does warrant a position on this list. Clearly, a large part of that grade was built on his forced fumble that kept the Cowboys in the game but it wasn’t just the fact of making that play. Consider the player he blew past to get so quickly into the backfield was RG Trai Turner. This is some reward for the Cowboys keeping him around despite a very lackluster end to 2017 where his run defense was very suspect. Obviously, the Cowboys need this to be more than a handle of high-quality reps going forward and what better place to start than on Sunday Night against the Giants.

on 17 snaps though lol

He was a bum last year. If he’s improved and this isn’t a fluke then the d will be better than I thought

The key point here is #1 defensive player in the entire league.

No key point is small samples are useless.

He played less than 25% of our snaps.

His contribution was on a single play. 1 tackle that led to a fumble.

Let's all make sure we interpret data appropriately rather than extrapolating from dumb evaluations

Still, let's call it an impressive start.

As you wish, I prefer to look at this as a good sign of a potential player that can hopefully emerge. I also believe it was more than one play.

One play. That's your PFF grade.

But please, continue to ignore actually facts about small samples. It's just science.

really excited about Ross and Woods....and Collins looking better than ever.
with Crawfords verstility to slide around and our DE group...there is alot to like about our DLine.

He was just quicker than the fat body however when said fat body gets his hands on him, it’s over...

He is quick for his size, but also weak for his size.

Hopefully can be a solid rotational guy.
