Why is it so difficult for people to believe that Joe Gibbs IS the problem in Washington, DC. After every game he says "it starts with me...." yet everyone just assumes that he has not authority or power in Washington....and that the ways things were done before he got there is being forced on him.

When I look at that team and organizatio...to me it wreaks of Joe Gibbs. He brought in every WR they have. He brought in every RB they have except Betts. They OL was there when he got there...he cut the C and brought in a new one...and the OL is solid. He brought in Greg Williams AND Al Saunders. He brought in both starting CBs. He brought in both starting Safeties. He brought in every starting DL. He brought in every LBer. He brought in every TE. He brought in every QB they have. He moved Champ Bailey. He moved Fred Smoot. He moved LaVarr Arringotn. He moved Antonio Pierce. He moved Laverneuos Coles. He moved Patrick Ramsey. He traded away all of these draft picks.

He has been onboard for everything I mentioned above....it is Gibbs people...listen to him sometimes.

They're ultra busy today with Bobby Knight.

Only because they know that he is a friend of Parcells, and they are trying to get TO nuggets from Knight.

Well I have been beating this drum for awhile now. The skins are a mess from the top down. They have the worst front office in the nfl. Vinny cerrato, daniel snyder and joe gibbs have done the worst personnel/draft/free agent assembling in the league.

Teams are built in April. Gibbs decided he wanted to build a team in march the past three seasons through trade of players and draft picks and neglected aprils draft. Now it shows.

Joe gibbs built a team the way you would in 88 or 89 if you could sign the guys. He brought in veterans everywhere, especially an old one at qb which will wreck your team very fast. His constant signing of older free agents and bad free agents has led to a snowball effect. Some of the guys they brought in 05 were in their prime and now are over the hill, the offensive line looks like it needs to be redone now also. The defense got old fast on them and the young players they do have, have not played well or are still learning.

If jason campbell flops the next 7 games Joe Gibbs will have some explaining to do. If he fails do they sign another free agent quarterback? More free agents? That is at the heart of the problem and until they decide to do things the correct way they will suffer. And if they dont stand up to this pointless free agent shopping spree every march they will continue the same fate and never get in the clear. They need to dump some of the dead weight they have with top heavy salaries and start over with the draft. However there is no way to do that with gibbs there, he is even less patient with young players than parcells. So that means the skins will have to hope campbell plays well and then hope he can get them to the playoffs next year because after next season I am pretty sure gibbs will leave and he will leave an old mediocore expensive talent base behind.

Now, someone tell me again how gibbs is better than parcells? Parcells set this team up to draft well, cleared the cap problems out, cut expensive players like glover, larry allen, emmit smith, coakley. Then knowing it was in the best intrest of his team he cut or traded, matt lehr, derek ross, joey galloway, keyshawn johnson...(debatable) rob pettiti, ekuban, quincy, chad, henson and many more....

There is no way gibbs would have ever cut those guys. We bit the bullet after 04 and cleared cap room, traded for an extra 1st round pick, developed a young inexpensive quarterback, drafted two young runners and signed another as UDFA. Look what it took for washington to acquire there backs? Who does that, running back is the biggest talent pool in the draft every year and that is why rb's are not making big money in free agency any more, you can find a willie parker undrafted or a marion barber in the fourth round.

We cut all the dead weight from our defense and moved the old players out and built a whole new system filled with young players in one offseason and then completed in the next season. Now with carpenter and burnett and singleton playing ellis spot we just got even younger on defense.

Anyway enough of my ranting. I just havent understood why the skins have been given a free pass from criticsm this year, particularly gibbs because he is the guy who wants to sign all the free agents he can. He needs to be roasted but he never gets that negative press and when he does he remembers it and goes on espn and cries about it. I bet gibbs wont be calling out sean salisbury this year on espn, I hope salisbury calls him out though because he stinks at personnel decisisons.

Again If campbell fails miserably Gibbs needs to be roasted big time because there is no recourse if campbell fails for next year, I guess you just hope he can play better. The thing I will say is this, if campbell cant play qb there with every other pass a screen pass or a 7 yard dig route to the tight end where can he play it?

Actually, I said this long ago. What "Head Coach" wants to hire a coordinator and give him a title that includes "Head Coach"? I think not.

As for ESPN. Ha!

I cant see anyway he leaves the team after this season. How could he possibly leave them in such shambles? He would be hated. He has to correct and get them something for future promise. They have alot of old over the hill talent on both lines. Until he gets them straightened out I would imagine for what he is paid he feels obligated to fix the problems.

If you're strapped to a table you can't be expected to sweep the floor. Snyder has a huge ego and is an extreme control freak. (he gets angry if you call him Daniel) Sometimes you just have to bail out and let a man go down in flames until he figure out he isn't a cook and to get the hell out of the kitchen.

Their simply is not enought time for Gibbs to churn that roster.
