Tom Rock, of Newsday, reports Arizona Cardinals LB Karlos Dansby was asked during an interview on The Sirius Blitz if he would like the opportunity to play with the New York Giants. The Giants are reportedly interested in Dansby, who is eligible to become a free agent this season. Dansby said, "Who wouldn't want to play in New York? That's just like playing for the Dallas Cowboys, you know what I'm saying? It's a big market. You're going to get an opportunity to be prime time. It's a huge market. I wouldn't mind playing in a huge market. I wouldn't mind at all."

I know it says the Giants, but he obviously would not mind coming to Dallas. I would love for him to come and start ILB for us. Burnett and Zach are gone and the position is going to have to be filled anyways. Barbie is not the answer and I dont know if I trust a 2nd-4th round draft pick to start at ILB. The Steelers drafted Timmons to take over for Farrior, while playing nickel. Draft Mckillop to play behind Dansby and Bradie. We have the cap room and it's a glaring need.

and for $8 million per, we can get him.

That's what it will cost.

Wow, so are the Cardinals the IT team to get FA's from now?

part of me wants him to stay in Zona and ride out this thing they are building. He is a young integral part of it all. i would hate to see him leave when there is business left unfinished. I am about loyalty.

the other part of me wants him in Big D. He would be a very good addition next to James. Of course, if Burnett can stay healthy, I think he could step in and become the starting ILB next to James as well.

this would be a good move for this team! but honestly i dont expect us to be big players in FA...

I like him but he's going to want way more money than we're probably going to be willing to give up for an ILB.

if this dude goes to NY, we are in even more serious trouble.

What do you suggest? No first rounders for a MLB and you want to put a 3rd round rookie out there and start? We are going to need at least 2 more MLB when Zach and Burnett leave. We just need Dansby in FA..no other signings. The draft will take care of the rest.

what does the round matter? honestly, i am sick of people bringing up what round players are drafted when evaluating their worth....The only reason a 1st round pick matters more to me than a 7th, is because of the pricetag.

i just want players. I dont care if we get the player in the 1st, 7th, or a UDFA....just get me guys who can get out on the field and make plays to help us win.

At 27 years old and arguably the best player on Arizona's defense. I can't see a scenario where Dansby isn't either re-signed or franchised. As much as I'd be all for him coming to big D, it's not gonna happen.

Like it or hate it Bobby Carpenter is likely going to be given an opportunity to prove himself next year.

I would sign a backup option like Takeo Spikes in the event Carpenter doesn't cut it. Spikes is probably a better fit for Dallas's D and would make less money than Thomas was making last year.

I like the idea of drafting a ILB like Mckillop in the mid rounds another sleeper is Frantz Joseph from Flordia Atlantic. Or drafting Clay Matthews who could probably play ILB or OLB in a 3-4 set.

I think Dockett or Wilson are the best players on that defense

Cromartie is creeping up on that list... They have alot of young talent on that defense..

i agree Wilson is the best IMO..... On signing Dansby it would be awesome, but I think his wage is going to be to high.

In Plan B FA period, we signed Jay Novacek and Rob Awalt, both their TE's from the Cardinals. I think that worked out pretty well. So you never really know......:D
