With Nassib, Barkley, and Wilson still available, do we invest a 4th rounder on one of these guys to groom for the future? It's not like we've been drafting for need thus far - a 2nd round TE, a 3rd round WR (both luxury type picks).

No we don't dare to. Do it next year when the selections in the later rounds are better.

If this same draft had Luck and RG3 it would have been the deepest Qb draft ever.. Also betting on next year crop is crap shoot as the only person who is a lock to declare is Bohyd.

Hey Wilson, Barkley or nassib are good deals in the 4th round and they can sit behind Romo and develop.

I think if Tyler Wilson is still there in the 5th, we may pull the trigger. Look for RB or OL in the 4th.

I think it's worth it if the value is there.

However, I think we grab a RB first before even thinking about a QB. Then probably a defensive lineman.

Yes - draft one every single year. And you still have a lot of good prospects (Wilson, Nassib, Barkley, Dysert) on the board and you won't need to spend a high pick on them.

RBs are much easier to find later or as UDFA.

I'm not convinced that we do it in the 4th, but all bets are off after that.

Here's a name to keep in the back of your mind in the 7th round or as a priority FA: Kyle Padron.

Dare we draft a DL. Guess not. Everything should be offense. Even special teams. Draft a punter and a longsnapper while were at it.

Right:rolleyes:

Automatically waste a draft pick every year. If we take a QB this year, his contract will be up in4 years, just when Tony might be ready to retire, so then we'd have to re-sign him or start over again. This is a terrible year to draft a QB

You don't pick a QB on the 3rd day of the draft with the intention of keeping him for 4+ seasons. You do it to churn your 2/3 and/or find a hidden gem.

Yeah. Drafting a QB when the current one is still playing is a terrible idea. Just ask the Patriots (Bledsoe/Brady/Mallett) or the Packers (Favre/Rodgers)

Best to stick with our tried and true method of waiting until our current QB is ready to retire or beat to death, and then address it (Aikman > Carter/Hutchinson/Stoerner/Banks/Testeverde/Bledsoe/Leaf/McGee/Wright)

And maybe talking about "wasting a draft pick" isn't the best argument in regards to the Cowboys, considering they waste entire draft classes.

If we had more than 3 picks I would look at drafting a QB. We still need a RB, DL, DB and another OL.

If they have any 2nd round grades left on the board, I'd rather take them, but if not I would spend a 4th on any of Nassib, Wilson or Barkley.

The next QB for the Dallas Cowboys will be playing junior high football this year.

We want to draft a franchise QB to replace Romo when We need to.
I know there are the Bradys and the free agent Romos out there that hit on occasion. But they are far and few between.

Brigdewater and possibly Manziel will be in the draft next year but it will take a top 5 pick to get one of them.
And I dont like losing games to get there.

I like Wilson but also like Pete Lalich as a FA possibly, I believe Garrett has some conection to him.

Fourth or fifth round would be offset some of the risk in my opinion.

What's a year gonna do? You wanna go after Manziel...so we should tank this season, fire JG, blow it all up AGAIN to get him?
