I see the draft shaking out like this:

1. Cam Newton-Carolina
Too much potential to pass up on.

2. Patrick P.-Denver
BPA

3. Von Miller-Buff.
OLB in a 3-4. Had 17 sacks a year ago

4. Green- Cinn.
Out with the old mouths. Take a great WR

5. Blaine Gabbert-Arizona
In the end, he just fits their scheme so well on offense.

6. DaQuan-Cleveland
Going back to 4-3. Great way to do it. Knee at combine drops him some.

7. Quinn-San F
Lawson is not the 3-4 OLB they need.

8. Nick Fairley-Tenn.
QBs gone they go BPA.

9. Dallas- Dareus/Watt/Jordan
Dareus is put at NT and Dallas finally moves Rat to DE on Ware's side.

Unfortunately Dareus is probably going top 5. Obviously we don't know Dallas grade on these guys, but it looks like we might have an oppurtunity to trade down unless the Cowboys grade the 5 techa and the OT's significantly different than most of us on the board are thinking.

Watt, Jordan, and the three OT's will be available. Are those guys all with similar grades?

I think Dallas will have some they love and some they don't, but if they do feel about the same on these guys then you might trade down pick your top guy left and see what falls to you in the 2nd.

If you get lucky maybe one of these guys or someone else you like falls to the bottom of round 1 or very top of round 2 and you can use what you got in the trade down to go up and get that guy.

sounds good to me. Personally, I would prefer Watt over Dareus but I think I'm probably the only one in that category...

No, not the only one... I would take Watt > Jordan > Dareus

The 'boys need to control the line of scrimmage. To me the best run stuffer in the draft is Dareus. Sure Fairely had a good year for Auburn, but Dareus has shown over a longer time span that he can get it done in the trenches. All of those converted 3rd and 1s or 3rd and 2s would be a thing of the past with Dareus strapping it up for the Cowboys. A good run defense is essential.

Do it Jerry.

My favorite 3 players in the draft.........

Dareus, Watt, Carimi....tack on Hynoski.

Dareus will grow into a NT and play there 10-12 years.

those 3 who I've been thinking for quite sometime and to be honest I like what Cam Jordan would bring. I think he would add more Pass Rush and might send Ware off the charts. I just don't know if I want Peterson/Prince. I would rather improve the Secondary through Free Agency and build the Pass Rush and OL through the Draft.

It does sound like as of now there is no way he is getting out of the top 5 according to several scouts around the league.

I think of all three, Jordan has the most potential to blossom into a star.

I'm also going to go out on a limb and say I don't think Peterson will be a Top 5 pick.

I would trade down.

I'm not a big fan of Dareus but I think he could start at NT which would then let us move Rat to RE.

Jordan and Watt are both good players but not worth #9.

No way I see Newton going 1st over all. He's not even the highest rated QB in this draft. I don't see it playing out that way but even so, it could happen that Jordan and Watt are what we see still on the board at our pick. I hope we trade down if that is the case.

There's also Tyrone Smith / Amukamura. I think Watt and Jordan are very nice players but not at 9. I'd have no problem with Smith, Dareus or Amukamura. Skillwise, I think if Smith grades out on film, and he has the potential to play both sides then you take him. If not, then I'd like Dareus over Amuk.
Pressure creates better corners.

I agree that Dareus is top 5 talent, but I don't see the teams drafting BPA straight out.

I saw that Mayock now claims Dareus is the best player in the draft. That really surprised me, but I guess that combine performance really changed a lot of opinions on him.

I'm still very up in the air about Smith, I think a lot of the hype about him is based on his athleticism. But Athleticism doesn't make you a good tackle necessarily.

I don't think he's physically dominant in either run or pass blocking, and that's what scares me. He's got HUGE bust potential, in my opinion.

I prefer Carimi over him, but I'm not sure either is worth #9.

He's been high on Dareus for some time. He had moved Dareus up ahead of Fairley before the combine, I believe.

He has production as well as athleticism.

Dareus played through a high ankle sprain all season. When healthy he is a force. Check out his highlights in the Bowl game. MSU linemen simply couldn't control him.

Mayock ranking him as the #1 prospect in this draft doesn't surprise me. He can play and has played every position on the DL and comes from what basically amounts to an NFL farm system team where he received NFL training and coaching the past 3 seasons. At his position, (DL/DE) he is the most NFL ready of any prospect in the draft.
