Cut a guy who produced 1500 yards of total offense last year. No thanks.
Give me the young guy over an injury prone player who put up 1000 yards of gabarge time yards any day of the week and it was 1417 total yards and not 1500....geesh.

How does GB not jump all over this?? ARod is their leading rusher as of late. Starks is a JAG. Lacy is a two year wonder.

Seems like ripe pickings.

GB makes all the sense in the world unless they want to continue the experiment of lining up a WR (Montgomery) at RB for the rest of the season. Seems nuts to me.

Give me the guy who's actually DONE something and PRODUCED. I don't care if they were garbage time yards which they weren't. I'll take that over some young guy who has done absolutely nothing and probably won't do absolutely nothing. Some of you Cowboy fans make me laugh when you fall in love with these nobodies like this Jackson guy. He's nothing and has done nothing.

Guys, Darren McFadden can actually help you win games this year. "Locking someone up cheap for 3 years" doesn't win you a Super Bowl.

If he were that great, he'd be getting carries already. How many yards did Morris have by this time as a rookie?

Done something? He is an injury prone RB who is a bust who never lived up to his lofty draft status. Us cowboys fans??...didn't realize there were different classes of cowboys fans...Jackson is fast and has talent and in my opinion was worth keeping as a young RB for depth. This team didn't need two injury prone overrated RBs on their staff in my cowboys opinion...Dunbar and DMAC....nah...no thanks...never said Jackson was elite but would rather keep him then see him go to the pack or broncos.....might as well keep Free and cut Green and Collins with your logic.

STRENGTHS
Showed off a rare combination of size, speed and explosiveness at his pro day. Posted a sub-4.4 40-yard dash with a vertical leap of 41 inches and a broad jump of 11-foot-1. Long-strider with ability to cut strides when needed for short area change of balance and cuts. Has buildup speed to turn the corner and go when play flows wide. Has size to slip through arm tackles. Productive pass catcher. Can make variety of adjustments to secure poor throws. Has punt coverage background.
WEAKNESSES
Upright runner with high pad level through the holes. Slows himself and braces for contact rather than finishing carries with authority. Not as competitive a runner as he needs to be. Too many short runs or losses against soft boxes. Will duck head into hole and short-circuit vision for necessary cuts. Cuts lack suddenness and post-cut burst. Dancer with a lack of decisiveness as a runner. Vision is well below average.
DRAFT PROJECTION
Undrafted free agent
BOTTOM LINE
The tape doesn't come close to matching the astounding pro day numbers that Jackson posted, but his combination of size and athletic traits could very well get him drafted. Jackson doesn’t have the vision or decisiveness to be a zone runner and appears to lack the physicality needed as downhill gap-scheme back. While Jackson has the traits to compete on special teams, his tape looks like a practice squad player for now.

When you build thru the draft and don't use FA you can't throw away draft picks with talent for nostalgia

Either Dunbar or DMC had to go instead.......Morris is the backup. so we cut a young guy for a 3 touches a game has been....Belichick knows when to cut bait

I couldnt believe this place's infatuation with Jackson. There's literally one of those sitting in the late rounds every year.

He had one productive year at one of the worst teams in college football, I dont get the hype outside of workout numhers. Mcfadden is far and away a better option at this point. Now maybe he hangs around and becomes a number 3 next year.

Sure thing bro. Let's trade all our draft picks. No point picking players who've done nothing in this league. They garbage. Bring back the triplets even. They might be old but they've done stuff in this league.

There are darius jacksons everywhere. One of them is starting in washington. I wont be surprised if he ends ip on the PS in a few days and wont care if he doesnt.

If that's the case, then it was stupid for them to carry him on the roster all year.

Wow at this over the top nonsense and reaction. What you posted is closer to how you really feel.

Key embedded part of the tweet:

"Jason Garrett said he could have a role right away on the kicking game."

So we might get to see him on kickoffs right away (please).

Then what is point of Dunbar at all if DMC is returning kicks??? We already know Dunbar sucks as a returner AND he sucks as a 3rd down specialist.

There is always these guys that fan think are stars in the waiting but the people who watch them everyday don't agree and they get cut
Very few ever end up making it and RB is one position where I can't think of any who have

To be honest I don't care enough about Darius Jackson for rueage. But I'm amazed that they not only want to keep Dunbar on the roster, but they want to pull Zeke to put him in there. I thought he'd be the logical choice to go because they can put McFadden in on third down if they continue with this idiotic idea that they need Zeke on the sidelines.

The infatuation with Dunbar is stupefying.

To put him in on 3rd downs and stay in for pass blocking is moronic. If you need an extra pass blocker, put in your best one....Zeke.

Just a ridiculous play. He does that and he looked clueless on the screen pass also. What are we missing? He's done nothing to be active for every game. Some coach loves him obviously
It's hard to believe we can't come up with better. I have a feeling that will change next year. For now, I think we're stuck with what we have.
