We have discussed most of the top prospects at length. Thought I would throw out some later round guys for you to weigh in on. If you haven't checked him out before, do yourself a favor. There are several videos on youtube.
Just to be clear:
Why I would draft him if possible:
Just to be clear:
- Not suggesting anything higher than 4th round (if that high)
- Not suggesting that he may ever be a defensive starter
- Speed. Measured times range from 4.4 to mid 4.5's. On film he looks fast (under 4.5) and he can accelerate very quickly.
- Playmaker. Number of pass breakups, fumble recoveries & interceptions. Phenomenal return man. 5 TD's on Defense off 12 interceptions. 6 TD's as a returner plus 3500 return yards. Also scored 2 TD as a freshman receiver.
- Versatility - Receiving background plus returns skills. He has experience & production with the ball in his hands.
- Made plays against Michigan & Ohio State.
Why I would draft him if possible:
- One player can play ST's, be at least a reserve DB & potentially run some packages on Offense.
- We need players who can threaten the other team. Quickness, speed & ball skills. Immediate potential return man. Create a package of plays to get him on the field offensively. Always good to throw wrinkles at defenses & safety net if you have injuries at receiver position.
- If he becomes a steady or better DB its gravy on top.
