After redshirting in 2003, Terrell started for a 10-2 Coffeyville team in 2004 before barely qualifying academically for Missouri last year. Terrell said last year he didn't find out whether he had passed his math class until the weekend before camp opened. Terrell played in all 12 games last year, making 13 tackles and two interceptions. That playing time makes Terrell one of the most seasoned players in a secondary that returns Overstreet as its only starter. However, Terrell has never started a game, the one thing that will solidify his place as a leader of the defense. "He's a lot more focused as a leader," Overstreet said. "He's probably the leader of that cornerback group. He tries to lead by example and go out there and make plays. And he's got confidence now. He knows he can go out there and shut somebody down.
