News: Darnold out indefinitely

Sounds like his health has taken a hit off this, if it caused him to lose weight. Hopefully he will recover sooner rather than later.

the great Simian will get a chance to carve our Defense again.

For those wondering what mono is: https://www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/understanding-mononucleosis-causes#1

Mononucleosis is an infectious illness that’s sometimes called mono or “the kissing disease.” While you can get the virus that causes it through kissing, you can also get it in other ways like sharing drinks or utensils. It’s contagious, but you’re less likely to catch mono than other illnesses like the common cold.

Mono isn’t usually a serious illness, but it can lead to complications that in some cases make the disease more dangerous. The symptoms of mono can be mild, but they can also become very severe. If that happens, you may not be able to take part in your normal, daily activities for up to several weeks.

I'd imagine you can get it from those sickly people who have mono and cough, sneeze, and put their contaminated sneeze/cough hands on things other people can handle. I've heard of people getting it at walmart making no physical contact with anyone and I also remember kids from schools having it.

could be 3-4 weeks, could be months.

Good post. I remember in high school people were dropping like flies from this. But it isn't serious and most recover in a few weeks. The problem here is being an NFL quarterback. It's one thing going back to class, an entirely different story getting back to strength for the NFL. That said, I say he's back by week 4.

I had it when I was in the army. I don't think I have ever felt worse. One minute I was sweating so bad my bed sheets where soaked. An hour later I was so cold I was shaking under three blankets. Kept going back and forth for 2 days. I was told no physical contact sports for 3 weeks because I could rupture my spleen. He's done at least 6 weeks.
