Daron Bland appreciation thread

You’re probably not old enough to have seen Everton Walls play. Had 11 picks as a rookie (was a part of the “dirty dozen” rookie class).
You're correct Sir, thanks for the Everson Walls mention. Walls is the best rookie CB in history of the Cowboys.

Having said that, I’m very excited about Bland’s future!

Everson Walls was an UNDRAFTED ROOKIE in 1981, he led the NFL in INTs and was named to his first Pro Bowl that season.

Also, Walls WAS NOT part of the Dallas ‘Dirty Dozen’ - as that draft occured in 1975 and included Randy White, Hollywood Henderson and Too Tall Jones among others.

You are so AMAZING. Please forgive my error…
BTW, I didn’t say Everson was drafted…I was just pointing out that he was a.sensational rookie CB.

So you didn’t. My bad. I merely misunderstood your implication due to the fact that all twelve members of the Dallas ‘Dirty Dozen’ class of 1975 were actually drafted by the Cowboys. Just a simple misunderstanding on my part.

Isn’t it amazing that we just found A Browns replacement so definitively? Like there should be no questions at this point. He’s starting opposite Diggs next season
Yes, but they need to add another talented CB.

In theory Bland outside and Lewis inside but they must have another option outside. If not, they must upgrade the range of the Safeties and replace LB Barr with a LB with more range.

I would fire Will McClay because he risked taking Bland in late rounds instead of earlier rounds.

Bland is getting lucky because teams havent figured out his tendencies.

Will McClay is just lucky.

Bland's draft grade will catch up to him.

The life of a hater must be fulfilling.

It’s all good, my friend.

Better than Diggs as a Rookie. Bland is the best rookie CB I've seen in Dallas.

You must be too young to have seen Everson Walls.. Though as good as Walls was.. I think Kevin Smith may have been the best rookie corner I've seen in Dallas. When he went out and punked Jerry Rice in that playoff game I was like damn.. That kid's gonna be a player. Too bad the achilles injury derailed a promising career.

He has been great but I didn't like how easily he gave up the td to D Smith

An out route, with all that field... on what is similar to a 3 step drop...with how quick the ball was out, playing off coverage. Hard to stop that pass. Minster threw a good pass with great timing.

Would've liked to see a bump or 5 yards off the ball.

Dood is a baller!! Another player coming out of the Mountain West, but I read around here all the time you can only find talent drafting from the power 5 schools. :D
