It's too bad we have serious investments in Brandon Carr, Mo Claiborne, and Orlando Scandrick, because considering the scheme we want to run, and where we will most likely be drafting, Darqueze Dennard would have been ideal.

I'm not saying we should draft him now, we must draft defensive linemen early and often. I'm just saying I think he would be a good fit for what we are trying to do.

Said it before, I wouldnt be opposed to a cap fixing draft to ultimately clear off Carr, Ware and Romo. Problem is Clowney and Mack are the best pass rushers and will be long gone before Dallas drafts.

A lot of good pass rushers this year:

Clowney
Mack
Anthony Barr
Kony Ealy
Trent Murphy
Will Sutton
Vic Beasley

I believe Dennard is the best corner in this draft but Could you imagine the meltdown on this board if we took another CB inthe first round instead of a DL?

He's definitely a 1st round prospect... I wonder what kind of short shuttle and 40 times will he run.

Dennard is great but most likely will go before we pick. I don't really care for any of the pass rushers in this draft.

I would be looking to package Church, Claiborne, and Carter for a 1st and 3rd to a 3-4 team. That's where they all belong and play their best. New Orleans, Cleveland and the Jets come to mind. It doesn't have to a 1st and 3rd. I would take a early 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

If we're going to stay in this scheme then you have to cut bait with the guys they just doesn't fit in anymore.

There are a lot of good DTs in this draft that can be had in the 2nd and third. As of right now where players are ranked, I don't care for the lineman rated 1st round where Dallas will be picking. I will take Donald and Quarles in the 2nd. As DE I don't see anything special after Clowney.

Best CB in the draft imo. I think he's better than Justin Gilbert , even though many scouts have Gilbert ranked higher right now. He's a top 20 lock. No way we we get him cause we're not spending our 1st on a CB.

Going to make people shudder because of how Mo Caliborne played so far, but a few are throwing the Deion Sanders comparison for Dennard...

That can't be done. The NFL does not allow teams to have an 11 man roster which is what would be required to get under the cap if Romo was cut. They could probably field a 40 man roster is Carr was cut.

Ware, on the other hand, frees up 7.5M if cut immediately or 12M if cut on June 1st.
