That the '92 Cowboys defense would have had a hard time stopping that Pats offense. Seriously.

He said Brady is on the top of his game, and they have so many weapons that it's almost impossible to stop. Said teams are going to double Moss, but that frees up Wes Welker, who is a huge mismatch for all defenses -- not just ours. But he said if you put Newman in the slot manning on Welker rather than Nate Jones, it makes a huge difference.

He also said that he still has faith in this defense (in response to questioning seemingly trying to get him to bash the D ) and that we're definitely as good or better than any defense in the NFC. He said we're still growing in this new defense and will get better.

Basically, it was just that the offense they have is too darn good right now.

I think if we would have been able to play newman in the slot against Welker, it would have been a totally different game.

It's one game. Time to move on. I would have loved a win, and while it was possible, it didn't turn out that way. NE showed we have a long way to go ... but we can close that difference.

I think we're a strong playoff team. I think we can break out 11 year draught and play deep into the playoffs.

Every NFC team has flaws ... and ours aren't as bad as others.

We will get better as the season goes along. Also, don't forget Henry and Tank will be arriving to help out.

Darren was just being dramatic... Our offensive line would have dominated the Patriots and there is no way in hell the Patriots would have come away with that much time of possession... our weaknesses this year are a result of our linebackers in coverage, which was NOT a problem with the Dallas 92 defense, which was much faster than this defense...

I honestly don't think Tank will make a difference this year.

I agree with Woodson. Brady was on the mark yesterday and I saw many instance where the coverage was not bad but the ball was thrown perfect.

I do too. And as much as I hate the loss, I don't mind that there is another dynasty in this day and age. No more whining from the Parity Foagies.

I got to agree with this. Our competition is supposed to be Washington and Green Bay. From what I saw neither team is impressive. Washington has ONE starting O lineman left. Portis is dinged up and the recievers are also dinged up and can't catcha cold. I can't believe Moss "benched" himself. What kind of crap is that I thought you were a professional football player. Not someone who just gives up. The defense is pretty good but I think we can chred them with Witten and Barber. Green Bay?....HAHAHA...They have no running game and we can T off on Farve. He likes to Just Toss it up so we should have a 4 or 5 pic game. The NFC is incredibly bad this year. Its ours for the taking.

The only way the Patriots go down is when Brady retires, hes to accurate of a passer with 3 good receivers to throw to

I'll always show respect to great teams the same respect I expect to be shown to my team when we are playing great football. Dallas went into the game wanting to control Moss and for the most part did but Pats have some other excellent weapons and Brady was hitting his passes perfectly and hitting many of these guys in stride.

4 good receivers. Don't forget the TE Watson. And Kevin Faulk isn't a slouch either when it comes to catching
passes out of the backfield.

Actually, we were killed on RAC...

Walker destroyed us, because they exploited the match-ups he was getting... on one of his catches, he was being d'ed up by Greg Ellis on an underneath route...

he caught a lot of underneat passes which resulted in moving the chains... in fact, I consider him as the player of the game...

Yeah true so not only do they have a precision passer in Brady but 4-5 good receivers to throw to and one elite receiver in Moss...how in the world can any team cause trouble in defense...the advantage is to the offense on that point

Alas, Darren is part of the media now. Sometimes, he goes out of his way to not appear biased about the team we know he loves.

The '92 Cowboys had a dominant defensive line rotation, and they were the best team in the league at stopping 3rd down conversions. A stat to live up to that was sorely lacking yesterday.

Yes, the '92 team may have had a little bit of trouble. But, notice how he didn't say they wouldn't have won. ;)

Well if you have a FS who can cover the slot receiver you have it made... we don't.
