For any NFL club that just didn't feel quite satisfied with its draft outcome for a pass rusher this year, help could be forthcoming. West Georgia's Darrius Caldwell will apply for inclusion in the NFL's annual supplemental draft, according to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport.

Caldwell (6-foot-6, 245 pounds) led the Gulf South Conference in sacks with 12, and recorded 18.5 tackles for loss last season for the Wolves. Caldwell's college career took him to three schools, beginning with Illinois, before he transferred to Pearl River Community College. According to the Baltimore Sun's Aaron Wilson, Caldwell is attempting to make himself available in the supplemental draftdue to academic eligibility issues.

He was supposed to come to Arizona State but never got cleared. Decent potential but a project.

fwiw, it seems he was okay as a freshman. 5 TFL and 2 sacks for Illinois in 2012

Pass. Just crowds an already crowded position. Now let a 2nd-3rd round RB declare and I'll get interested.

I'd put in a claim, even if it's a 7th, maybe even a 6th if we had one. You just can never have enough pass rushers and there's a 50/50 chance at best that we resign Hardy imo so having another DE with potential would be great

Yeah because we clearly couldn't possibly get better than the incredible talents of Russell, Boatright, and Gardner.....having too many pass rushers is impossible anyway. The more the better. Especially when 2 of our top 4 DE's are impending free agents and 1 is due for a lengthy suspension

In all fairness, it isn't likely more than one of these makes the roster and I'm not sure that Caldwell is a better prospect than Russell (most likely to make roster)

I agree that all 3 are likely competing for 1 spot, but would you really say no to more competition for the last pass rusher?

And for the record, I have no clue who Darrius Caldwell is. But the idea that any 4-3 team has too many DE's going into camp is silly to me. Especially a team that has Jeremy Mincey and a 235 (ish) pound rookie slated to play key roles.

Looked pretty decent at the community college level.

The first play on this video was taken about 1 1/2 miles from my house, but I have never heard or read anything on this guy.

Good luck finding anyone within a 1 1/2 mile radius from me who doesn't know about my high school career.

Not everyone can score 4 touchdowns in one game
