Dashon Goldson, the 30-year-old two-time Pro Bowler, has been traded to from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to Washington, NFL Media's Albert Breer reported Friday, per a Commanders source.
The Tampa Bay Times first reported the development.
Per Breer, the deal cost the Commanders a sixth-round pick. Tampa Bay included a seventh-round pick along with Goldson in the deal. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport adds the trade saves the Bucs $4 million in salary-cap space, per a team source.

I would have done that trade in a second. The Buccaneers are actually paying Goldson the $4M since they reworked his contract pre-trade.

I don't hate Goldson, but I don't think he'd really give us anything that we don't have already, at this point.

Another nice low cost transaction by Scott M

Pretty good deal for the Commanders: Get Goldson for one year for $3.5MM, and it only costs a minor swap of day 3 picks.

Was never impressed with Goldson, but that's a good value for WAS.

Wow, I'm not sure we are going to even recognize the Skins D this year. Not saying they will be good, but they seem to be making it over......again.

The Bucs sure can pick em. They paid this guy a boat load of money and the drafted Mark Barron 7th overall in 2012, and now neither are on the team.
