Ok this issue is becoming real bothersome something has to shake.

Please tell me why is it that Jenkins is the only corner that turns his head to play the ball? He should coach the other DB's how to play, they flat out suck.

What is campo telling these guys? Why does it look like their necks are stiff?

We all know, i don't think anybody could deny it, that bomb in the air to hartline...the one ball had forever to make a play....we all know Jenkins makes that play. We have seen it to often.

I don't understand how hard it is to turn your damn head? It's pathetic...on top of that they PI the guy they are covering like a bunch of morons. If your going to do that....then turn your head, and grab the WR a little, so it looks accidental at least.

Newman- Downgrade your pay bro, or hit the streets, i cant defend you anymore. You can't cover a slant, even if your mom was dangling off a cliff to save her life. On top of that you are not aggressive to the ball. I rather him play like Asante, both get beat deep, but nobody can throw 10 yards or less on asante without holding their breath, and he turns his head.

Ball- What the hell is wrong with your head? Who allowed a CB on the field with a broken neck? This guy never ever turns his hard. You are the worst of the bunch.

Scandrick- you are ok at times...you just have to turn your head sometimes as well.

Walker- this isn't baltimore..you can't ruff guys up, and think it will go unnoticed. We are a finesse D, so when you act aggressive..you stand out and get flagged

Jenkins- We need more Corners like him.....Watch how those Jump Balls get shut the **** down when he comes out and takes back the right side.

At this point i would only take Jenkins and Scandrick into next season...Campo has to go...Newman has to reduce his pay..and possibly be number 3

Newman has never been a big ballhawk. He plays best when the play is in front of him and he can drive on the ball.

You're right, Ball and Newman both struggle when having to play the ball over their heads. Neither of them turn their heads in time with any anticipation.

Jenkins is the one corner we have with "ball skills."

Don't get me started with T-New's tackling. Can we officially be done with the "T-New can play safety" nonsense?

I was saying the exact same things during the game. We played well in the 1st half but our secondary is really bad. Thankfully Moore seemed to have trouble when pressured so we were able to force some bad throws because no one on the back end could make a play.

teams are noticing our CB's dont turn their heads.

Thats why when we had Jeknkins, teams rarely tested us deep, because Jenkins picks that off

We should never have Campo back,it was a mistake and now we cant shake him.

Yeah there just isn't two ways about it, this secondary is bad (Mostly CBs)

You just feel like if the DL doesn't get pressure and the QB gets any time at all it's a guaranteed completion down field. Another thing is we just seem to leave WR wide open, like, WIDE open.

One thing cant understand is , ball and even newman (or lets say our CBs) play 10 yards from receiver at times and starts backtracking and tries to come back and jump the ball giving 10-15 yard completions when the opposing offense only needs that much , what is this strategy or is incapability of CBs or both ......?

Ball giving up a 13yard completion in a 16 yard down by falling down when backtracking ..... Blah

its not Campos fault, our DB's just aren't ball hawks..we have a bunch of finese corners

it's ok to be finesse...but turn your head

lmao i agree

Why do people think that turning your head for the ball or ball skills is something that a coach either teaches or not.

Its a innate skill and some players can do it naturally and others do not Campo has nothing to do with that.

Did he just stop teaching this skill after those championship 90's teams when he was the DB coach as well?

I think it originates for some people when a few years ago one of the DBs (IIRC Newman) said that Campo teaches to the DBs to play the WR's eyes, not the ball.

I agree though, Jenkins has never had a problem making plays on the ball.

Now let's talk about Anthony Spencer.

You watch the eyes to see when to play the ball, so people are showing a utter lack of understanding on the topic.

Right, problem is with Ball and even Newman at times is there is no anticipation, no awareness, no attempt to play the ball. It's all reactionary based off of what the receiver does. Problem is good receivers won't give a corner a "tell" until the last moment.

You watch a guy like Revis and he's trying to locate that ball. He's there to make a play. Just like QBs have that internal clock going knowing when to release the ball to avoid pressure, good CBs know when to stop gazing, look up and to locate the ball.

I don't know, the Dallas cornerbacks as a whole, seemed to forget to clock onto the job last night. Newman looked disinterested at more than a couple points. Took an ole flag at an open field tackle on Bush. Bell looks as he was trying to draw flags, and then an out of bounds penalty by Walker showed more attitude than smarts.

Campo is the problem. He's solid with teaching corners technique and footwork but when it comes to playing the ball his philosophy is different.

Campo teaches his DBs to play the WRs eyes. That's why every corner we've drafted and he's molded, all look the same. They never turn their heads.

I hate the way he coaches the secondary and corners, his style has been the same since he's been here and hasn't changed.
It's, make the opposition dink and dunk their way up the field, keep the WRs in front of you and hope that they stall. We hardly every play bump and run coverage because he's afraid to get beat deep.

How many times must we see our DBs 7-10 yards off the WRs and allow hook routes, slants and skinny posts? The reason why average QBs like Grossman, Sanchez or Moore look like Pro Bowlers is because Campo's style helps to get QBs and receivers into a passing rhythm and get confidence throughout the game.
Thats why the opposition starts threading the needle and making throws and catches like that one handed grab by Bess from a perfect throw by Moore on 3rd down.

I think the reason why Jenkins turns his head in coverage is because he hasn't been ruined by Campo yet.
Look at Walker... he doesn't play like a Cowboys DB. He's physical as hell, grabs, holds and turns his head.
He has that Ravens/Steelers mentality. Our DBs are coached soft. If Jenkins and Scandrick were on those teams and taught their technique, they'd be Pro Bowlers.

you see that's way wrong, and stupid
