I agree 100%........they may already have one or two in their back pocket coz it's obvious they had no interest in any of the top prospects. Again, remember we have a new Oline coach. In other words, this starting LG issue ain't over...at all.

They better be good run blockers.

Asim Richards played guard early in his college career before moving to LT. I'd bet that factored into the decision.

Not sure who are sitting on their couches but I don't think they're the answer.
We need a starter Jake........

It’s going to be Tyler and the Carolina kid Asim Richards will get a chance as well. Guard is covered.

They probably like Edoga as an OG a lot more than this board. They definitely would've forced an OL pick on the first 2 days if they felt they needed to. Im not saying I agree but that's probably their stance right now...

Richards is better than I thought, Strong, good drive blocker and finisher, three year starter.
Graded higher than
Blake Freeland
Breeden Daniels
Tyler Steen
Nick Saldiveri
Emil Ekiyor
Jaelyn Duncan
McClendon Curtis
Wanya Morris
Warren McClendon

No, it's not........Tyler is just holding the spot until Tyron goes down. Then what.........I'm not trusting a rookie 6th-round pick.

I like Richards but he ain’t ready for anything other than emergency spot duty. He’s getting ready for the biggest jump in competition he has ever experienced. He needs development.

I looked at Edoga when we were considering him the first time and wasn’t that impressed. If you get a free moment, go back and look at the Jets boards when we were looking at him as a replacement. They were begging for us to take him and would have been satisfied with a 7th.

Just trade for someone's 2nd or 3rd year player that just doesn't fit into the current system. There has the be someone's Leary that is surplus and teams will take a late pick to switch

This is what I would do if we can't find the right free agent

We signed a vet guard already
Unless a really good one gets cut I don’t see them signing a vet guard
I think Asim will see time at guard and tackle in camp but probably won’t be active unless injuries pile up

Lol. I mean he did play in the ACC. It's not chopped liver. I guess we'll see what happens. Positionally speaking, he was coached by some pretty good OL coaches. He's got a good frame and work ethic.

I remember that, too. I also remember (I think) that Edoga was playing tackle for the Jets. Hopefully, the move to guard will be a positive for him. Fingers crossed!
