Irving (ankle/personal) will not practice Thursday, Calvin Watkins of The Athletic reports.

Irving is trending towards missing his ninth straight game due to a high ankle sprain and personal issues. The 25-year-old has not attended team meetings this week and is not close to returning to the team, according to Brandon George of The Dallas Morning News. It remains to be seen whether Irving will rejoin the Cowboys in a limited fashion during the playoffs.

I truly wish the Best for Irving, he needs to seek another path in life, because its quite clear at this point that the NFL path isn't looking like a good path for the guy.
Seems simple to most, and that includes myself by the way... "Dude just keep it together for a few years and you get to wear silk under wear if you feel like it, and eat at 5 star rests every day for the rest of you life... well life sometimes is not that simple at times in life for some people, its easier to judge them, because we feel they are entitled.
Can we please just get the F over Irving!!!!!!!

It's painfully obvious that a football career is not important to him.
I read articles the coaches all say the ankle still isn't right, why lie for the media? I have not heard one person in the locker room , media, or coaches say Davids missing practice for just personal reasons, they say the high ankle sprain was on the extreme side and isn't good enough..sure dudes knuckle head but not one person hear knows if hes healthy enough to practice or play..you are casting judgment without proof.

This is genuinely disapointing.

If Irving decided he wanted to be really good, the skillset is there.

He just seems disinterested.

Please. Cover your own eyes, but you're not covering mine.

Of course nobody's saying anything. Did you notice what happened to DJ Swearinger for publicly speaking his mind? No. There's nothing to be gained for anybody saying anything about it publicly. They all want these things to fade away.

Oh, and his ankle doesn't prevent him from showing up, which is what he's doing - not showing up. Travis Frederick is out for the year, guess what? He still shows up and is there a guy every game, contributing. That's what guys who care about being professionals do, and what David Irving doesn't.

It won’t matter.
People around here get angry because they work 40 hours per week and 50%make less than 30K per year. So they can’t wait to pounce on someone who is making more money and not entertaining them to their standards.

Watch all the responses. It’s sad.

I don't have any personal dislike of Irving, hell I don't know him, all I do know is he plays for the Cowboys and when he has played he has done well the problems is he misses more than he plays 4 games suspended in 2017 then more times because of injury to end the season. So you enter 2018 hoping he learned lessons along the way but nope that did not happen instead we see another 4 games down the tube and once again injuries eating up the other part of the season. I hope the best for him but as a Cowboys fan I want a DT who we can count on who is 100% dedicated to this team.
