His gf is putting him through the ringer but looks like he is innocent of any wrong doing.

We can all agree that he is a freak athlete and can take a game over.

Would it be wise to try to sign him now to a contract that would probly be significant less that the 15-17 million a year he would be demanding after this year? If he stays healthy and out of trouble he is gonna be unreal, especially with D-Law coming on. Maybe he could be had for 7-9 million per year? Sign him for 3 years.

Would it be shrewd to take advantage of his off field situations?

Would he get that asking price from another team if he racks up 15 or so sacks? Or is his off field problems going to forever haunt his check book?

He's previously stated that he's not interested in signing a contract at this point.

He wants to play out this season and hit unrestricted free agency next year.
Ok I didn’t hear that. So he is already priming himself to likely leave. No way we sign him and D-Law.

Should sign DLaw or Irving to a contract, if not both. If both are FA's and have great seasons. then one or both may go, unless the franchise tag is used on one of them. Really don't want to be in a situation where we could lose both.

There’s no point for Irving to sign while he’s still under contract. He has the potential to put together a monster year, and if he does he will get paid big by some team.

Why would he sign now if he can wait and be signed for 14 million a year like you stated? It's in his best interest to play this year and bet on himself.

We may pay D-Law and franchise Irving. Or the other way around.

That wouldn’t surprise me. But there is a few others that better get it also. Wondering about obj getting caught in video is worthy of a suspension and the 49ers player also.

What did Obj do again? I keep seeing people want him suspended but he did nothing. IF he fails a UT sure nails his *** .... But for holding an unknown object? That would mean suspended Dak as well for holding a cigar that "could of" been filled with something unknown. As an Eagles fan I feel your pain , Lane Johnson was suspended 2x ... the 2nd time he got railroaded and it was an additive to his supplements he was taking ... and that 2nd suspension really messed up Wentz during his rookie year .. you can see the difference was night and day when Lane was on the field vs off

Let's say all 3 have Pro Bowl caliber years in 2018... Martin, Lawrence, Irving.

Pay Lawrence ...long term
Pay Martin ...long term
Franchise Irving

Irving to this point has yet to show a full year of health and consistency. Thus, you franchise him and make the final decision on him by March 2020.

When it comes to the trenches, you DON'T sacrifice your premium, young talent to save money. You just don't. The Eagles won the Super Bowl in large part because of their elite OL and DL. If you must sacrifice for salary cap reasons, you sacrifice underachieving skill players and old players who aren't doing it anymore. Basically, Dez, Witten, and Scandrick types. But NOT quality young healthy Pro Bowl caliber players in the trenches.

Let Zeke go get another running back in rounds 2 and 3 and he will easily get 4 ypc. Rather use our salary on something besides the least important position and easiest position to draft.

Agree and we have the cap room to potentially keep both next year
Yep but we are gonna have some huge contracts coming up. Dak and Elliot in a few years. Martin needs to be signed, that’s gonna eat a lot up.

From what I've seen of Irving, I'm all for letting him walk at the end of this season regardless of how well he performs.

Just seems too risky to keep him long term.
