I certainly hope Keith "The Killer" Davis moves back to ST's full time. He seems to be very good at kick coverage and yet a mistake machine in pass coverage. Let's see what Pile can do-- can't be worse IMHO.

I agree. He can't be much worse.

Boy you've got that right. He just doesn't seem to have the instincts for the position. Not that we should be shocked. Purcells told us in camp that Davis was more of a SS than a FS.

And now we all believe him. :)

Not that Roy has been any big help to the pass defense either.

MW, please tell me you can see Nors' TRUE intentions (aka agenda) with that post.

By blaming Davis for everything it takes all blame off the 3-4 defense. It's only Davis' fault. You had to see that from a mile away.

I'm not saying Davis' isn't at fault. I'm just saying that was the true reason for Nors' post.

Also, don't you guys think it's a bit early to give up on Davis? I'm not saying he's great or good or even average. But why is it only him that should be benched for making mistakes? Shouldn't he be given the same chance as everyone else to sort his s*** out?

JMO, of course. Let's see if the kid progresses up to the bye week. Sometimes you have to screw up in order to get better.

Actually Davis could be a pretty good player, but he isn't a FS ether...
Lets see how the new guy does vs a all pro like moss...

I would like to see KILLER Davis play one of the Lber spots perhaps as soon as Filthy in the nickle. We need to be able to be quick & tough enough to run down McChunky soup AND also to be able to take away the bread of their butter (Westbrook)

Nether Dat nor Shanle have near that kind of quickness there...
Shanle was made a FOOL of by old man Brunell...

That or ether get Burnett at one of those spots ASAP!
We need more play makers on D!

Burnett, Roy, Spears & Canty should be used better in conjunction with Ware doing stunts to force the Olines into mistakes, we have been much too "plain Jane" on nickle downs!

Those are our new stars, we need to get them attacking!

We need to create mismatches, mistakes & TURNOVERS!
A guy like Collins will kill us throwing deep if we allow him that time...

To each, his own, Rack. If you want to leave him in there and have him continue giving up long TDs then more power to you. As for me, if Pile is better, I say play him now; not wait around to see if Davis is going to get it.

There's no question the 3-4 is performing just like many thought it would in the early stages of the season--- it's getting schooled. Hopefully it gets better. The problem is that we're facing some offenses that can put some serious hurt on us over the next few weeks.

I still believe given our talent on the defensive line and the little talent we have at LB, we still should be a 4-3 defense-- but it isn't my choice so hopefully this nonsense clears up. We we're so great against the run vs. SF either.
