In the past few years, we have gone towards OLs that were not maulers, per say. More guys who could move around a little bit. With Davis, I think that signals a change in direction. Davis is a mauler. He has the skills to be mobile but for the most part, he's a mauler. He's not going anywhere any time soon so I'd have to say that in view of this latest signing, we are going in a different direction on the OL.

Thoughts?

He is what what LA was 5 years ago as it pertains to mobility, I remember when LB and DB's would cringe when they saw LA pulling down the line.

I hope so!

Having both Kosier and Davis...if at OG's are about as opposite in style as we could ask for.

I really hope we get Blalock in the draft and then put Davis and Blalock in the middle with Gurode...that oline would simply maul teams.

Both are pretty athletic as well, so it's not like we would line up and just move the pile...we could pull, trap, etc...with these two. Not to mention move the pile when we want.

noone is replacing Kosier

the idea is still to have a line built of people who can pull and reach the 2nd level, Davis can do that, plus he's as big as 2 freight trucks

Are you sure about that?

Same answer as before.....

Would we have drafted Shaun Andrews?

Noone can have an actual answer to that. It's speculation. We had (actually) moved to getting more athletic OL, with 60% of the starters fitting that mold. Davis does represent a change to that goal.
