Problem with Izzy is that he can’t block. It’s why he hasn’t been able to stick anywhere. He’s like Blue. Can be explosive with good speed but you can’t trust your QB and your season on him being able to pick up a blitz on third down.

Demercado is known for being a good blocker with good ball security and that’s why he’ll likely be RB2

Davis doesn’t block well.

Watch the film the game Williams missed and Davis started. He’s a solid runner but blocking was not his thing

I expected what the title said not what they did. I figured sign someone else to the 53 (not necessarily a RB) and call up Abanikanda for this week and then figure it out. Worries me a little (not too much but a little) if we go with what we have in house. But, let's see how Demercado does. The other odd thing is Stephen said in one of the interviews (doesn't mean it was what was going to happen) that Demercado was going to be inactive this week - something along the lines of going from inactive to the #2 guy. So I guess they don't trust him enough to go with just he and Javonte like they were with Davis and Luepke cannot fill that role - been there, done that with that experiment...
