Day 2 of draft how do we get a 2nd round pick!

Probably considering Malachi your R2 and sitting still.

Looks like GP isn't moving but then again, it is FO lying season,
Interior LB in R3 seems very obvious. 4-6 good targets, 92 is a ways down into R3 so maybe you trade 1 R4 + 92 to move up some there.

Do not really think they need to trade to get back into the 2nd round. I believe this draft has been touted to being the deepest in a long time, with starters being available into the 4th-5th rounds. With that said, savvy trading upgraded their 2 fifth-round picks into 2 fourth-rounders. There will be players to fill holes at the CB and LB spots there. Truth of the matter is we should not be suprised if they once again pull off a trade or two after the draft to bring in vets in both of those positions.

For once I agree with Jones. He said giving up 2-3 possible players for 1 is not the best way of doing business.

Trading up to the 2nd round would wipe our draft capital completely and I rather have our current picks for depth purposes moving forward.

I get fans want to be more active on day 2 but consider Lawrence as our 2nd round pick and focus on 3rd round. Whether Dallas hold the line at 92 or make a slight trade up using minimum assets.

Well put.

We already drafted our 1st and 2nd picks. Together they are better than 3 quarters of the league after round 2 is complete.

I would definitely package up some "scrub" picks and try to get into the second round. Could still get a quality LB. Three high-quality players in the first two rounds would make this draft a success, no matter what happens on Saturday and Sunday.

Trade your 3rd and at least 2 4ths if you want to get to the 2nd! I would do it if there was a player I really liked in the 2nd!
Still not enough

3rd Round: No. 92 - 132
4th Round:
No. 112 - 70
4th Round:
No. 114 - 66
4th Round:
No. 137 - 38
5th Round:
No. 152 - 31
7th Round:
No. 218 - 4
Total: 341

2nd Round:
No. 48 - 420
3rd Round:
No. 80 - 190

Raiders 2nd, 3rd this year and next years 2nd for Pickens, our 3rd and a 4th.

No I dont think we trade Pickens today tomorrow or June or any day in between
It's doubtful we trade him but anything can happen tonight. What is clear is that we are likely going to lose him in 2027 or we'll be paying him more than CD. So, if we can get a 2026 and 2027 second round pick, why not?

You guys are wild man lol. Caught up in the moment.

You keep GP and keep your offense elite
If we didn't have gaping holes at LB and CB, I'd agree with you. An elite offense alone got us 7 wins last year. This team has no shot of advancing to the playoffs with an air show lead by Dak and his wrs. It's fun to watch but that kind of football doesn't win championships. We got Pickens for a steal last year and it paid off. Time to cash in.

Day 2. Now that pickens has signed his tender, do you think we trade him for a package of picks in round 2 / 3 / 4. We know how much Jerry and Stephen hate Mulengeta (HOW EVER YOU SPELL HIS NAME). I personally would be like look GEorge drop your agent and work with one of these guys we like or we are trading you.
We don’t. Short of trading a starter, which makes no sense, there’s no getting into the second round. Too expensive and just not worth it. We need depth throughout the roster. Picks 92, 112, 114 could produce 3 future starters, but definitely contributors.

Just sit on your hands during round 2. Maybe make a small trade up in round three if a player you are high on drops. There’s no one in round two who is worth the draft capital it would cost.

ok how can we get back in round 2? Are we ok with leveraging next years 2 or 3 and a other player to sweeten the deal.
We are not getting back in round 2. Losing a second this year and a 1st next year for Quentin Williams, steep price but very good defensive player.

Likely this is true. Also likely true we have to trade 2027 capital for a veteran.

3rd round should be target to grab another pick.

Package Pickens to Buffalo for their second and third this year and first next year! And settle for a second this year and first next year.

Stop it please , yeah, let’s ruin the offense to help the defense

It would be dumb to trade Pickens unless a team was willing to blow you away with a return. You'd still need a top tier number 2 WR. Not sure if you are aware, but our highest paid QB in the league requires an all pro at every offensive position.

Our quarterback needs two elite wide receivers in order to be effective. It is going to take two years to get our defense back to mid teen level.
The defensive line is solidified. The backfield is solidified a linebacker, and it’s fixed top 10.
