I say no.

When you took Elliott at #4, you pretty much should have then guaranteed yourselves that you need to go defense at #34 and #67.

I don't think so... I think we're looking at Cook or Hackenberg at 34. Both of those guys will go pretty quickly in the second round. Get ready to not see a defensive pick until 67. Maybe if they can find a trade partner, they can move Leary and their 4th, and jump back in to the late 2nd and grab a DL and use 67 on a DB.

Pretty sure the only reason Boyd is still available is his slow 4.58 40 time. Jerry Rice says hello.

I wouldn't be upset one bit. Push te chips in the middle and go all in now. Cook and hack are 4th rounders in any other Draft class. We need another impact player with this second rounder. I wouldn't mind a gamble on jack either.

I don't think they will take Cook or Hackenberg at 34. The biggest reason being that the Cowboys were rumored to have liked a QB by trading into Rd 1 so that they would then have that 5th year option year that comes with first round players. You don't have that in contracts with 2nd round players.

IMO, and I could be wrong, if they wanted Cook or Hackenberg at 34, they probably would have tried to trade into one of those last few picks and taken one there, thus giving them that 5th year option.

The 5th year option fits in nicely with what they seem to project Romo can still play - 3-4 years.

The sports science crew did a nice video on the kid here:

I like this pick, not convinced there is a better option if he is there.

I want a burner. We need someone that can take the top off the defense with the focus being on Elliot and Dez getting doubled.

Also, i'd love if we had a WR or TE that can stretch the middle of the field.

Witten and Beasley don't do that.

Honestly, some of you guys and your wet spots for players. The guy is slower than some LBs

I hate that view, but given our situation. I think this is true. As I said in another thread. If you get Spence and pick up a 1 tech, within two years, we can have a disruptive DL again. (Lawrence, Gregory, Spence, and a 1 tech with a year or so of experience for all of them)

Mackenzie Alexander needs to be the pick at 34

If this team didn't have moron DEs on the team I'd be on board with either a QB or WR with the second round pick. This team needs to draft a DE tonight.
