Time to fill out the roster with some depth and projects. Not that there won't be some additional low level FA's signed after the draft and UDFA are signed.
I like what the Cowboys have done so far in the draft.
#24Tyler Smith: I like the pick (B+)
My first choice was Zion Johnson, but I assumed he, Trevor Penning and very possibly Green would all be gone by 24. So I had already come to terms with the idea this pick would be Smith. He's smart. He's got tons of potential, and a mean streak this team needs more of.
#56 Sam Williams: Again, I like the pick (B+)
My Pet Cat Trey McBride (TE) was taken one spot ahead at #55 by Arizona, so anyone else here was going to be a bit of a disappointment for me. But it seems pretty clear the Boys had their sights set on Williams here so I seriously doubt they would have taken McBride had he fallen to this spot.
Williams has that potential to turn into a really good pass rusher, and you just can't have enough of those type of players.
#88 Jalen Tolbert: Rinse & Repeat. I like the pick (B+).
Does anyone not like this pick?
I figured the Cowboys would take a WR in the 3rd if they didn't take one in the 2nd, and they got a good one. Great value and should contribute right away.

Rounds 4 - 7:
You know the Cowboys will go after a TE at some point. I just hope it's not in round 4.
BPA should be the rule of the day, but I hope they focus on the D-Line first and foremost.
I'd like to see them get a LB to help free up MP to rush, but there just isn't much left at this point that I would like to see them use a pick on and that could actually contribute.
Hope they grab a RB late that will be ready to contribute next year when Zeke (and possibly Pollard) is/are gone, and can fill in this year when one or both get injured.
Depth at CB may be a must with the uncertainty at that position. If they like one in the 5th....sure, go for it. I'm not sure who that player would be.
Hell, maybe even grab a QB like Bailey Zappe in the 5th if he falls far enough to start grooming.

My Choices: Strictly guys a kind of like:
4th:
1A) Neil Farrell Jr: He may be a reach at #129, but I think he has the potential to be that NT we've all been clamoring for the last few years.
1B) What's left of the LB's that don't have to sit out a year -- see Damone Clark. I really like JoJo Domann even though I think he'll be more of a safety. I think he can contribute in the passing defense early. Also would consider Darrian Beavers, Brandon Smith and Malcolm Rodriguez.
2) OT Projects: I like Daniel Faelele and Kellen Diesch
3) Would they go Senior Bowl slot receiver star Kyle Philips here?

5TH:
# 155:
This is where I could see them targeting a TE for this draft.
My preference here would be Daniel Bellinger.
Could also see Grant Calcaterra, Isaiah Likely, Jake Ferguson, Jalen Wydermyer.
"Frankly Charlotte, I don't give a damn"....sorry to you younger folks that won't get the reference.
Just pick one and let's move on!

#167:
1A) Otto Ogbonnia DL -- Depth
1B) Matt Waletzko OT -- Talk about a project. But he could be a good Offensive Tackle down the road, and at #167....WTH
1C) Howzabout one of the better RB's left here? Tyler Allgeier or Kyren Williams

#176/#178:
BPA -- Stick you your board while keeping needed depth in mind
DL/LB/CB/S/OL/QB/RB

6th:
#193
1A) Use it in the 4th or 5th to trade up a few spots to get someone you like would be great.
1B) Take a "flyer" Boys. I like Sterling Weatherford here 6'4" 224lb Safety....say what???
1C) Anyone else that floats your boat

I was just saying in general.
Heck, I hope they find multiple starters/major contributes today

Hope there’s a kicker in there

Get a kicker..
I'm not sure i want rookie kicker as our starter this tear.,,it could be worse i know GZ got a lot of flack but a rookie could be worse..has to be vet right before TC that comes available thats better. Pick one to compete in a late round sure but i for sure not handing rookie kicker the keys..

Was kind of a joke. Greg hit all the pressure kicks. He just can’t kick a ep.

I know just saying those pressure kicks will fold many rookies. but hey as long as he makes all the Xps we good.i hope they have few vet kickers for camp battles.

I was hoping they would get this guy as a project (Matt Waletzko OT) at #167. I'll take it at #155 I guess.
Let's go RB at #167 or use #193 to move up

As many as possible. We have been spoiled for years with good kickers.. But I can’t stand sitting on edge watching a ep attempt..
