IRVING, Texas –
Romo returned for two starts over the Thanksgiving stretch before fracturing his left collarbone again. Cassel said he benefited from studying how Romo handled everything, even the minor details, from play to play.

“The little nuances to it or the cadences, the simple things that he does at the line of scrimmage, some of the protections that he was able to get to – it was great for me to see that and see that in person,” Cassel said. “Because when you’re watching it on film, you’re just watching a cut-up reel or something like that. You don’t completely understand it. But when you’re out there on a day-to-day and watching practice and seeing it in a game, it was very helpful for me.”

Will the extra prep add up to a win Monday night at Washington?

Run on 1st.
Run on 2nd.
Pass 6 yards shy of the first down
Punt and show no courage or toughness and pray the defense pitches a shut out.

You got this Matt!

Love Tony, but I wouldn't say those two games he played were a master class.

Two TDs, 5 INTs. Cassel already knows how to do that.

Yeah. I think when you read specifically what Cassel's talking about it excludes Romo's poor decisions in those games on where/when to throw the ball. It makes sense.
Mainly referring to the nuances of running the team and offense.

Sounds eerily similar to Jerry's "longer exposure to the offense theory." Call me hopeful but skeptical.

I watched Tony every Sunday he played.

Still couldn't QB this or any other team.

Cassell moves the ball, he's just allergic to the end zone.

The end zone is your kryptonite, Matt............fix that.

He learned how to continue to do just enough to keep us in a game but ultimately we won't actually win any games with Cassel.

Cassel played in the league behind Tom Brady, coach by Bellichek, and spent over 2 months in this offense. He should have phd on the qb postion from a mental stand point. What kind of kool aid is he trying to sell us? Is JJ putting him up to this for moral support? On top of this Cassel states he learn so much from Romo on one of his WORST games in years !!!! Where is the coaching on this team? It's either Cassel still isn't ready to command the offense or this guy have no clue.

The entire team benefitted from watching Romo run the offense except on Thanksgiving. I wish Cassel could continue watching Romo run the offense.
