IRVING, Texas – It looks like the Cowboys will have something they’ve been missing since Sept. 22 when they take the field in MetLife Stadium – a fully-healthy Miles Austin.

Austin spoke to the reporters for the first time in weeks on Friday afternoon, declaring himself 100 percent and ready to make just his sixth appearance of the season.

“I’m just excited to be playing again. I’m obviously from Jersey, so my family will be there. So I’m just fired up,” he said. “It’s the next game for us, and the next game is always the biggest game. I’m just glad to be back with the guys.”

Sunday will be Austin’s sixth appearance in 11 games, but it’s hard to remember much from his fourth and fifth outings. After straining his hamstring in Week 3 against St. Louis, he attempted to give it a go in Week 6 and 7 against Washington and Philadelphia.

The result: seven targets with no catches. Those games prompted the Cowboys to shut Austin down for another month until he was fully healthy, but he was reluctant to use that as an excuse.

Good, because I'm gambling on him in a few fantasy leagues.....when others will not. Hope it pans out.

Does 100% mean he may not pull the hamstring until late in the game as opposed to before halftime?

Sorry, I have lost all trust in this guy..............

i guess its wishful thinking to get him going and open things up for dez. im
sure he.s motivated to do well down the stretch since he.s probably not back here next year.
not ideal weather to test the hammy though, he needs to stay on the unicycle when not on the field. my medical .02

Can't take credit for it. I believe someone else here rocked it as a sig long ago.

I thought it funny because someone I know has been saying for the past 2 years that romo looks like Linus from peanuts cartoon. Then I saw the avatar and started laughing

With the game time temp at 27 degrees today I'm just hoping he lasts until the end of the game without his hammy tightening up again.

I'll believe it when I see it. But as of now, I expect a couple of 2-3 catch, sub-50 yard performances, followed by another hammy injury to end his season.

Miles Austin and 100% healthy should never be used in the same sentence...there's no such thing..
