That is not a taco lol

Yes, you scalawag! Yum, pizza.Pizza probably came after either, but it's the best food on the planet!
Barbarian you are, old fellow!Tacos Chinampa, tacos tripitas, extra crispy with fresh onions, cilantro, diced radishes con apple cider vinegar and chile de arbol, crema Mexicana y aguacate.
And tomatoes.
Did I ask you about any of that? Why the deflecting! It's not even part of the question in the thread topic. I'm sure they are delicious but let's not dismiss the Mexican food so nonchalantly. The original question was "burgers or tacos?". Can you focus on that or is your ADD so bad that your mind has to wander elsewhere?
That's because you are caught up in the American definition of what a Taco is. Let me explain the difference...I love Mexican food but this is taco vs burger. IMHO, tacos are the worst of Mexican food. I would take enchiladas, burritos, tamales or almost any other Mexican dish over tacos.

Then you have a better perspective than most Americans on what constitutes a taco really is rather than just buy into what Taco Bell says it is. My family has lived in the San Antonio area for over 200 years. Our recipe for tacos has not changed in all that time... that's because it's the traditional Mexican recipe. We take pride in that tradition. I'll take a Mexican taco over an American burger every time. You people with European heritage have forgotten where you come from so you have no tradition. So you claim an American creation... the burger. LOLBelieve it or not I have been to Mexico City several times on business and I have tried a variety of dishes, including tacos. I never said I did not like them. I said I would take other dishes over them, including a burger and fries, or preferably onion rings. I have also had tacos in Texas, California (I HATE fish tacos), Colorado and NY/NJ. I prefer the tacos I had in Texas, but that was many years ago, to what we get in NJ, but I like a greasy burger from Shake Shack or Five Guys more. Truth be told, if I was ordering food like this I would probably order a chicken sandwich.
I had a filet mignon taco the other day. I thought it was a waste of a great cut of meat.....I was mistaken! That said, I grind up ribeyes for my homemade burgers. They are both excellent!
I grind them to keep the fat in it. Not very healthy, but very tasty. LolWhy grind it up? Trim off the fat and use it for the burger. I guess that's technically a steak burger, but Fuddruckers has (or at least used to) had those.
Yummy!

We have different preferences here so let's just leave it at that.Taco Bell is garbage. I won't eat it. Taco Bell is to Mexican food what Dominoes Pizza is to Italian food, maybe worse. Its kid food! We have two Mexican owned and run Italian restaurants in my area. They serve a combination of Mexican and Mexican American dishes. But their Mexican sauces are pretty authentic. They never use ground meat either. They use shredded meats and it is delicious. I cannot eat there without overeating EVERY TIME.
As for my heritage, my grandparents are from Italy and trust me when I tell you I know Italian food and how to make it. I don't consider pizza Italian food though. It has been very Americanized. It is hard to find authentic Italian food in America, even in NYC it is becoming a rare commodity. My mother cooked authentic Italian food, even the crappy fish dishes I hate. That's why I never order Italian food when we dine out. My mother's godmother used to make her own pasta, bread, and of course sauces from tomatoes. Her husband made his own wine and vinegar. They grew all their own grapes to squeeze. It was always a treat to visit them when I was a kid. Some people keep the traditions and some people don't care. I make all the authentic Italian pastries on the holidays because it is a family tradition and also because I love to eat them. But my kids who are adults will not carry on the tradition I am sure.
In any case, my choice of burger over taco has nothing to do with my European heritage. I just like the combination of burger and onions rings.
BTW, I noticed in the video a few of the player who picked a burger also mentioned bacon. I suspect the like the bacon and the burger was just a means of getting bacon.
there you go: BOTH!
