That headline was a mastery of alliteration, wasn't it? Anyway, just got word that Brad Sham and Babe Laufenberg are indeed expected back in the broadcast booth for the 2009 Cowboys season. Both have been in contract negotiations with the team's new flagship station, 105.3 The Fan (KRLD-FM).
Sham has been the esteemed play-by-play voice of the Cowboys for 30 seasons. After taking a year off to spend more time with his family, Laufenberg returned to his analyst role in 2007 and just completed his 16th season in the booth.
Also, quick programming note: Twice-a-day Cowboys Reports with Mickey Spagnola will premiere on The Fan on July 29, the first day of training camp practice. Mickey's report times are still being finalized.
