The Cowboys made a couple of minor roster moves on Thursday, waiving tight end Jamar Hunt and center Matt Spanos.

Spanos was signed to a futures contract in January after getting cut by the Dolphins last August. The Cowboys appear settled at center with starter Andre Gurode and backup Cory Procter, who signed a one-year, $1.545 million restricted tender.

Hunt, a rookie free agent out of UTEP, also had long-snapping experence, but the signing of tight end Scott Chandler squeezed him out of the rotation.

neither of those guys were going to push Proctor. Proctor isn't very good but he's not the complete disaster that folks here make him out to be. Do I want to see him playing? Hell no. But he'd likely be miles better than Hunt or Spanos.

Procter isn't a bad backup center. He just sucks at guard.

Like Gurode. Some people are just made to play one position.

Look at the Cowboys run game at Carolina and at Washington during 2007.

Proctor can't push anyone. He can't anchor.

He gets trucked, run around, and doesn't come out of his stance.

He's going to get Romo killed if he plays any significant amount of time.

I'd call Nikki Sixx and trade him for Tommy Lee right now.
