Felix Jones had his biggest workload as a Cowboy on Sunday, rushing 10 times for 49 yards against Washington.

It was the first time Jones had played without a knee brace since spraining his PCL in Week 3 and missing the next two games.

Jones said the brace didn't bother him when he was running, and wasn't uncomfortable, but the knee is definitely looser and he feels better running since shedding it.

Though he wore it in games, Jones went without the brace in practices in an attempt to strengthen the knee. Evidently, the process worked.

Asked whether he was now 100 percent, Jones rasied thumbs-up and smiled "Absolutely."

For the love of God...

Hopefully whatever is called, he goes out there and kills it as always. I want his 8.9ypc back.

Runs averaging practically five yards per carry ain't half bad either.

He looked pretty good on Sunday. We've got to get him in the open field so he can juke somebody. I miss that.

Sweet deal. He still doesn't look as explosive as before the injury. I think he is still running a little tentative mentally, but I'm glad he is healthy.

:lmao:

Yes. Can we please run some pass plays to the Cat with some actual blockers in front of him?

Put him in the slot and get him on a slow linebacker, too.

Get Felix some space!!!!

Zone running plays...

Feed Felix the rock!

It's time.

We will get one, he will go 70 yards for a TD, and it will never be called again.

All he has to do is get to the secondary and he is gone.

Broadus said today, and I completely agree, is that he can't believe we dont try and get him in open space more.

Personally this is my biggest beef with Garrett.... Throw him some swing passes, run some screens, and just do more to get him in space.

And while I like him running to the outside dont make him run it to the outside 90% of the time.

Every team plays to the outside hard because they know when Felix gets a carry the run is designed to get to the outside.

He can run between the tackles... Let him.

I also have no problem with Barber being the starter but its time to start letting Felix get more of a Julius Jones type of role in this offense.

Its way past time, hes blocking much better, so lets start letting him play A LOT more.

One thing our offense has demonstrated is that it cannot put together long drives down the field without the use of big plays. Teams have taken to ensuring we don't get the big pass play and then watch us self-destruct during the drive.

Felix can change all that by bringing up the safeties for fear of letting him rip off a big play in the running game - something Barber does not give us anymore - something he hasn't given us since he became the starter.

For this team to reach its potential offensively we need to pickup the blitz and we need to have Austin-Witten-Felix on the field making big plays. I think the WR who compliments this trio of players the best is Crayton who is better working the soft parts of zones than the others.

I'd like to see Felix getting about 50% of the playing time against the Raiders this week before moving to more of a 60-30-10 split.

Great, but for how many games will his good health last?
I'm beginning to get concerned at his chronic ailments.

I can only add my voice to the chorus of people, from the owner on down to us humble fans, who cry out for a more active role for Jones. He has never even had a game with 10 touches before? Our most explosive player and we can't find a way to get him some real opportunities? Its maddening!!! One almost wishes he were the only healthy back for a week or two and forces Garrett to get him more involved.

I have two major bones to pick with Garrett - not using Felix enough, and not sitting RW enough...

I had been thinking the same thing for a while, but if that happens, I hope that he can actually stay healthy so he can get it done.

You're doing well to only have two.

Garrett seems to beleive its what play you run....not how you execute the play......180* diff from a Jimmy Johnson philosophy

Players often say they are 100% when they aren't. He may feel 100%, but he isn't playing at 100%.

I'm not buying it just yet. I do not see that burst. It could be that he is 100% healthy but playing tentative. I especially see it on kickoffs, he doesn't seem like the same player right now.
