Friday Walkthrough In A Strange Place
Posted by jellis at 1/8/2010 10:26 AM CST on truebluefanclub.com
Sitting here at my desk in the Cowboys publications department, I noticed something strange pass by through the window. The entire offensive line was heading to the cheerleaders' dance studio next door.
Not far behind them followed the running backs, the receivers, the entire team. Weather.com says the temperature outside right now is 19 degrees (and it feels like 3), so the team is keeping its final rehearsal for Saturday night's game indoors.
The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders practice their routines in an open space with hardwood floors, maybe 3,000 square feet. It's the largest open area at Valley Ranch.
The day before each game the Cowboys conduct the most basic of slow-speed practices, though this one is obviously a little different.
"Oh, the Christmas tree is still up," offensive line coach Hudson Houck remarked while walking into the studio.
Stadium Lots Open At 2 p.m. Saturday

In anticipation for Saturday’s 7 p.m. (CT) kickoff, Cowboys Stadium parking lots will open at 2 p.m. Stadium plazas will open at 4 p.m. and stadium gates will open at 5 p.m.
While there are no major changes to the roadways, fans should allow additional travel time to Cowboys Stadium due to increased traffic in the Entertainment District.
Fans should use the Cowboys Stadium parking and traffic site: www.dallascowboysmaps.com and print their directions for arrival and departure.
