...head coach Wade Phillips said it's not T.O.-like situation of years past where the offense knows it must involve Williams to the point of almost forcing it.

That's no knock on Williams, but a product of Miles Austin's emergence as well as quarterback Tony Romo's numerous weapons on offense. The Cowboys have three capable running backs, two talented tight ends (a Pro Bowler in Jason Witten) and two more receivers (Patrick Crayton and Sam Hurd) who have capitalized on their opportunities.

"When we had Terrell, it felt like you had to get him the ball to make a difference," Phillips said. "And hopefully, Miles will work into that where you have to get him the ball, and Roy (too), that we have to get him the ball.

"But we’ve got so many guys that fit in there. It's all about moving the ball and scoring in the passing game. If you can do it with a lot of people, it certainly helps. Then if they go to double coverage and those kinds of things, you can take advantage of it."

No question, though, that a more involved Williams will improve an offense that's already averaging 28 points a game.

With TO regardless if you are winning, if he doesn't get the ball..its a problem, and i hated that

the thing I worry about is turnovers. when the WR isn't where the QB throws the ball, bad things can happen,,,

I think that with time, the chemistry will start to be there.... but then again, how much time do they need?? I guess it doesn't matter as long as we keep winning.... and I don't think Romo or Garrett feel that we need to force the ball to Roy to keep him happy.

I was definitely a TO supporter.... but at the same time I would think to myself, "Okay... get him a couple of catches early so he doesn't go crazy." I don't see that happening with Roy.... especially because we have so many weapons on the offense. He either has to get on board or worry about getting replaced.

that makes me feel better about the trade

Roy will probably never live up to his contract because so many other players will get their chances too

I mean, that's great and all, but couldn't we have drafted a young WR to fill Roy's role?
