Michael Boley, one of the New York Giants' prized off-season signings, has been activated from a Week 1 suspension and is expected to start at weak side linebacker on Sunday night.
The 27-year-old Boley, who came to New York on a five-year $25 million deal after four seasons in Atlanta, had to spend all of opening week away from the team because of an NFL personal conduct policy violation. Boley had been charged with domestic battery in May, 2008.
Boley also missed all of training camp because of a torn labrum in his hip, but was able to practice with the team before having to go away Sept. 5.
The 6-3, 223-pound Boley was a fifth round pick of the Falcons back in 2005, following three All-Conference USA honors at Southern Miss.
Fifth-year linebacker Chase Blackburn started in his place in New York's win over the Commanders on Sunday.
