[FONT=verdana, geneva]Tony Romo had a career-high 353 passing yards against Tampa Bay. This Sunday's opponent, the Giants, just happen to have some injury problems in the secondary.

The Giants only had three available corners against the Commanders while Aaron Ross and Kevin Dockery nursed hamstring injuries. One positive for New York's defense, of course, was the return of defensive end Osi Umenyiora, who returned a fumble for a touchdown. A great pass rush can mask a depleted secondary.

On offense, the Giants lost receiver Hakeem Nicks, their rookie replacement for Plaxico Burress, to a sprained foot that could sideline him at least 2-3 weeks. Domenik Hixon and Steve Smith will step in, but Nicks was having a terrific preseason and would've challenged the Cowboys downfield.

If the OL protects Romo; he'll shred them.

Back to back 300 yard games, for sure.

With that pass rush, I wouldnt look for too many plays downfield, unless we've really established a run game (via playaction) or Witten and Bennett are destroying them in the shorter game (double moves)

I think this is going to be a defensive game, and I'll be thrilled if Romo puts up over 300 yards.

That being said, we're still going to come away with the victory. We're the better team.

We really are the better team. I don't care what anybody else thinks about it.

Side by side comparisons of the 53 for each team?

Dallas comes out ahead everytime I look at it.

You are correct about Dallas Team better than Giants however I think where they would get the edge is OL and DL. They play a better smash mouth Football and usually let the other teams turn the ball over. They just fundamentally play sound and keep themselves in the Game. I really believe the Cowboys need to do a better job of Drafting Lineman. This is what puts the real good teams over the OK teams.

With that pass rush they could have people from the street playing corner.

And yet we have had some good games vs the Giants. Go figure

In 07, we swept them in the regular season.

Last year, they beat a Brad Johnson led team. When we got Romo back, we won.

That's a big if. For too large a portion of the game yesterday Tony was running for his life. Granted, the Bucs were blitzing a lot, but they don't have nearly the passrush that New York has.

That fumble recover for a touchdown by Osi Umenyiora wouldn't have happened to Romo. He knows how to step up in the pocket.
