Cowboys liked Gonzalez A LOT, but were not willing to trade up high enough to get him. Instead they panicked and traded just enough to get LaFleur.

Most times, you get what you paid for.

And the Falcons treat Gonzalez like their possession receiver, rather than a pure TE. Look for him to get most of the 3rd down passes. White is their big play guy. The secondary needs to contain the edge on runs, play tight man (Falcons favor the quick passes) AND tackle properly or it will be a long day.

I only have one critique from Wittens game. I dont like how it seems hes running under water after he makes the catch. But besides that, I agree with Gonzalez.

You're not gonna find a bigger Witten fan than me, but I feel the same way! It's mindboggling. He's NOT slow. He gets open regularly with quickness and excellent route running, but it's like he's stuck in mud once that ball is in his hands. Run after the catch is the ONLY flaw in his game. We are very lucky to be watching a couple of all-timers in Witten and Ware. They (along with Romo, Barber, Ratliff etc.) are in their prime and I truly hope it's not wasted.

Gonzalez saves lives, until Witten does that, he will never be on the same level as Gonzalez.

I think the guy was being facetious.

That said, Witten does have a foundation which helps victims of domestic violence.

I think he does just as much to save lives as Gonzalez's life saving measure. Not knocking Tony G. at all either.
