And if you think about it, the No. 9 is really the only number this could work in football. Every other number usually starts with a month not in the football season.

First of all, the football season has not started yet .. it starts tomorrow! Second, the football season is now 6 months long so it would have worked with the numbers 1, 2, 9, 10, 11 and 12.

I guess using that logic it means Eli Manning will have a great day next year on 10/10/10 ??

The fact that he is wasting space writing about something so irrelevant and pointless is a good thing though .. at least there is nothing bad to write about.

However, you would think someone would know that number 9 is not the only number that represents a football month out of the twelve months of the year.
