After reviewing all plays from this weekend’s game, the NFL has taken the quarterback sack away from Keith Brooking from Sunday’s game in Philadelphia.
Brooking ran Donovan McNabb out of bounds during a third-quarter play, and the stat crew initially awarded Brooking with a sack, his third in four games.
But the NFL went back and changed the ruling, stating that McNabb initially crossed the line of scrimmage and then retreated ground before running out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage.
That would’ve been Brooking’s third sack of the season. DeMarcus Ware leads the team with five, followed by Jay Ratliff (four) and Victor Butler (three). Brooking and Marcus Spears each have two sacks.
