After reviewing all plays from this weekend’s game, the NFL has taken the quarterback sack away from Keith Brooking from Sunday’s game in Philadelphia.

Brooking ran Donovan McNabb out of bounds during a third-quarter play, and the stat crew initially awarded Brooking with a sack, his third in four games.

But the NFL went back and changed the ruling, stating that McNabb initially crossed the line of scrimmage and then retreated ground before running out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage.

That would’ve been Brooking’s third sack of the season. DeMarcus Ware leads the team with five, followed by Jay Ratliff (four) and Victor Butler (three). Brooking and Marcus Spears each have two sacks.

Eh whatever it should have been a sack...

But I wonder what fantasy leagues do about that. I don't really care, but if a game came down to one point, and a team had the Cowboys defense, which would lose 2 points probably, would they change it?

yes the automatic (at least yahoo) leagues go back and do corrections on thursdays. probably not the case for those old fashioned leagues scoring off the box scores in monday's paper.

oh well
It wasn't a fumble. He hit his arm when he was throwing, and caused a bad throw.

You're SOL.

I remember three years ago the Eagles had some play where they didnt know if it was a run or a pass, I cant remember the details on the play, but it was a fluke type play.

Well, I was busy during the fantasy draft and my cousin drafted for me. Well, he picked me McNabb, and during the game didnt get the pass/td stat, but the league went back and corrected it giving him X amount of yards and a TD on the play. I lost that week by maybe 3, and it never changed even when the league awarded McNabb the points/TD.

Our 2003 victory over the eagles in Parcels first season comes to mind.
(That was the onside kick payback game)

Game ending play came on a sack of McNabb. For some reason Reid called the league office to lobby that the play was a designed running play and should not have been a sack.

IDK - Looked like a sack to me. Either way, the league overturned the sack ruling. This actually came out in an Andy Reid press conference.
I thought to myself - What a petty POS! You lost, get over it!

I bring this up because I'd bet Reid called the league to have the sack scoring revised. Nothing's change, still a petty POS!
