Odd Man Out At Tackle Shaping Up

If and when this trade officially goes through, and it’s sounding like Monday will be the day that Bobby Carpenter and Alex Barron will swap teams, the offensive tackle position will start to take shape as well.
Now who knows exactly how Barron will fit in as far as competing with Doug Free at left tackle. It would seem that Free would start off as the guy, but then again, Barron does have 67 more starts than Free in his career, and has a 74-0 advantage in left tackle starts.
Either way, the other guy will probably be the swing tackle.
Now, the odd man out of the mix appears to be Pat McQuistan. He’s be around for four seasons now and has yet to make any impact at all.
With Robert Brewster and Sam Young figuring to be the fourth and fifth tackles, it’d be surprising if McQuistan isn’t moved before the team gets to camp.
If that happens, wouldn’t be surprised if Miami is an ideal destination, seeing that Tony Sparano coached him for two seasons.
