The New York Giants claimed tight end Scott Chandler off the Cowboys' practice squad on Tuesday.

Chandler becomes the fourth Cowboys practice squad member to sign with another team. Cornerback Mike Mickens, quarterback Rudy Carpenter and running back Chauncey Washington had all moved on to other ports of call as well.

Chandler was a 2007 fourth-round pick of San Diego, which cut the 6-7, 265-pounder on April 27. He signed with the Cowboys on May 28 and has been on the team's eight-man practice squad the entire regular season.

Mannnnnn.. I liked him as well. I thought we might re-visit the Martellus Bennett trade idea with Chandler in the fold.

I liked him too and it would have been nice to have him around if Marty B has more concussion problems.

Three things I am looking forward too;
1. Cowboys get to the NFC championship game at least this year.

2. Jerry Jones sees what he needs to get in free agency like he did in 1992 when the Cowboys traded for thomas everett and charles haley. So, Jerry gets wade what he needs to push us over the top.

3. We move up in the draft and get impact quality players, hopefully someone like a big huge OT, a speedy safety to take over like a young ed reed or palomalu, maybe a young big bruising fullback ala like the Moose, suppose to be 2 good fullbacks this year in the draft. Hopefully, I win the texas cowboys scratch off thing with the draft package to be in the war room with jerry jones next year.

we run a lot of 3 TE sets. Chandler was like a bigger Phillips. He seemed to be a solid blocker and a pretty good receiver.

I'm not "rueing", I just thought he had some potential as a cheap, serviceable back-up.

Your 3 things are much better than mine. I think if things go right, we play well, etc. we can make a run in the playoffs. Deep down in my heart I just don't think Wade is the answer. I like Wade but I feel the Dallas Cowboys deserve a stronger coach.

I want Hos in the room with Jerry in case he tries to draft a kicker.
