The Best News Of Training Camp

When we started The Lunch Break today, Derek asked Nick and I what we knew at the end of camp that we didn't when it started.
I mumbled something about Tony Romo, Derek learned that Kyle Kosier will be the clear starter at left guard, and Nick talked about the status of the battle for the left cornerback job.
Upon further reflection, though. I've changed my mind. The biggest question mark going into camp every year is who will get hurt - what's the injury situation going to be when you return home. This year's team got through three weeks of tough practices at the Alamodome basically unscathed.
There were bumps and bruises, of course. Terence Newman and Mike Jenkins both missed almost two weeks, and others have been banged up as well. But here we are on the first day back at the Ranch, and it looks like everyone is going to play tomorrow night, including rookie linebacker Brandon Williams, coming off injuries to both his shoulders.
Now, the Cowboys did lose third-round pick Robert Brewster (torn pectoral) before camp started, but this was probably going to be a redshirt year for him anyway. Alonzo Coleman and Michael Hawkins were cut earlier this week because they missed so much time with injuries. Neither of them was going to make the team anyway, probably. Fullback Deon Anderson had knee surgery, but he should be back at or around Week One.
The Cowboys could be in a situation like the Eagles, who have lost their starting middle linebacker and highly-touted rookie tight end to ACL tears.
So wouldn't you say the clean bill of health is the best thing to come out of training camp? Knock on wood it stays that way over the next three weeks.
