Wade May Give His Twittering Fingers A Rest

So all summer when reporters were asking Wade Phillips about his views on Martellus Bennett's Twitter habit, the coach joked that he might just have to join the social networking site himself.
Among Phillips' jokes, it was actually one of the best, but no one took him seriously. Until Friday, that is, when Bennett outed the coach, who apparently joined the site in mid August.
Phillips has been breaking news on there, too. The night Roy Williams was injured in the open practice there were initial reports of a broken collarbone. Phillips tweeted the following, "Roy did not break his collarbone--he is just fine--he had a big smile when i saw him last."
As neat a thing as this could be - we don't know of another NFL head coach who is tweeting - Phillips is talking like he's not going to have much time for the website.
He hasn't tweeted since Friday, the day he made four posts, the most since joining. Phillips blamed Bennett for raising his followers from one to 500. He's now over 3,000. Who was Phillips' lone follower?
"It was my cousin," the coach said. "And I don't know how he found me."
Follow the real Wade Phillips @sonofbum.
