DC.com Draft Show underway right now

I'm not a big fan of Broddaus, but he does know more than us who are on here speculating from our couch

Keep in mind his best days as a scout were in Green Bay (has a Packer super bowl ring). I suspect he is still a closet Packer fan.

Of course he is and lets it be known all the time. I get so tired of him saying "when I was in Green Bay" or "I've sat in that war room", dude toots his own horn all the time.

No, if you following his predictions of what will happen and which players he like or dislikes, he is wrong way more often than a decent draftnik type fan.

Oh great...more Broaddus rumors about to come out....I bet he already knows Jerry's 1st pick....

Actually.. IIRC.. Broaddus was pretty accurate last draft. Not saying he is a guru by any means but he know more than "most" of us. Notice I didn't say "all". There are a few posters on here who are really good at that sort of thing. Pay attention to Xwalkers and Fuzzy Lumpkins posts on the matter. I dabble in the player draft analysis stuff and I think I was pretty spot on with my last one but they are the masters.

Just because his couch is more expensive than mine doesn't mean I can't throw crap against a wall in hopes that some of it sticks.

Dane Brugler is a fan of Texas DT Malcom Brown.

Brugler doesn't think Brown will fall to Dallas' pick, but he could get close.

Brown can play NT, UT and LDE.

He's a three down player, so the "rule" about not drafting NTs early doesn't apply.

Would like a pick like this. Also wouldn't mind a CB. Peters is a total character risk but I wonder if he slid because of that, we'd have interest?

Sport writers just write about sports. Broaddus has been in a war room his entire career and knows the going ons on the inside. Why would you not want his point of view? He's opinionated, yes, but he has a fresh pov, as opposed to always towing the company line like Micky....which is fine when the cowboys are doing well, but frustrating when they're not. People can get on Broaddus for being anti-JG in the past, but most people wanted him gone after last year's finale, me included

Broaddus did say that the Cowboys would probably trade up to get Lawrence

Broaddus is a clown who says a whole lot of nothing. Yea we know he sat in war rooms, he'll tell you about it every chance he gets. He's wrong a lot about the staff and players. I still think he has a axe to grind with JG and the organization, he takes shots all the time then tries to backtrack with a half hearted compliment. He's become hard to listen to.

I clicked on this thread hoping to read about draft news and instead I find arguemetns/criticisms about the expertise, or lack thereof of BB. Lol!

I'm not going to spend a day defending Broaddus but he was all over Zack Martin last year and thought
that Dallas would be crazy for not drafting him in the first. He was also right about Lawrence in the second
though he was hoping we didn't have to give picks to get him. Broaddus does spend loads of time with
the current Dallas scouts and is good friends with Will McClay and I suspect gets most of his inside
information from them. He does make mistakes and gets lots of his predictions wrong but he gets some
right too. Too my way of thinking and recollection, he always admits when he misses and admits on air
when he gets them wrong. At least he has some football knowledge which is much better than Mickey.
