DC-com - How Osa can Flourish in Eberflus Defense

Yeah as soon as Eberflus was hired it was pretty much a given that OSA would return. He is the ideal player for a 1 gap system. He will have the opportunity to focus on getting up field and penetrating. I have other concerns about the defense Eberflus will bring but the guys up the middle should be put in good position to succeed.

as long as you have a dud like Mazi in the middle it ain't going to work
and we need people who can come in and play ten or fifteen minutes a game as well and we got bupkus.

That's true, we have a bunch of duds around here and it ain't working anymore. We need some WD-40 for them....

Yeah I'm a lot less optimistic that Mazi improves, but hes at least a good enough athlete to give us a punchers chance there. Absolutely no excuse for the front office to not bring in legitimate competition for that position this offseason....One dimensional nose players can be found for fairly cheap every offseason. Mazi giving you legitimate starter production should be viewed as a potential bonus and not the expectation.

Mazi is starting his third year. so far there have only been a few flashes of a first rd pick. The homers have all sorts of excuses.

Yeah like you have with every other coach the boys have run through
you always have confidence in them
No I do not. I take the wait and see approach. I do not automatically hate everything. Like you seem to do.
Do you actually read or try to understand others' posts?
I did not like them bringing in Zimmer. But I am not the type to sit back and whine constantly over things.

I do not like the lack of effort in their HC hiring process either. But I can't control any of that. So it is a waste of energy to complain about it. And no, that is not blind acceptance either.

"Yeah, I'm excited about Mazi," Eberflus said. "I liked him coming out. He's a real explosive athlete, with a big body type that can move really well. Excited about bringing his game to the next level, and he could certainly do that."

So, Eberflus will be a miracle worker!! If Mazi does well under him, then Eberflus needs to get a raise!!!!

Odighizuwa's salary-cap number in 2025 will be $6.25 million.

Smith will grow a lot more and not be a third tit.
