News: DC.com | Stephen Jones: We have 100 Percent Belief In Dak

It’s amazing anyone has a good QB right?
Of course that’s not true. Obviously there are good ones and even great ones. The notion they Are just there to be had at any time and all it takes is just using one draft pick to do it is what’s off base. History has proven over and over again that’s not the case.

I don't understand why this would be news.
I mean, the owner, GM, or coach MUST say they have 100% confidence in the QB they just agreed to pay 31.4 million to for the season.
And water is wet

I'm not denying that there is a salary cap that pays all the players. I'm saying that very poor management of that cap by the Jones's is a major contributing factor to their failure to win a championship since it's inception.

They paid everyone drafted in 2016 on the team except the one with the greatest ability to effect the outcome of the season. In the end, the results are always the same, we lose the players we should have kept while overpaying the ones that weren't as important.
I agree, but that rests solely on jerry. It wasn't until he turned the responsibility over to Stephen that the cap situation improved. That began with the release of DeMarcus ware.

I don't know about Stephen but it's been my experience when Jerry says that he is lying.

Make no mistake we all wanted Dak to be the next Roger, Troy, Romo, but after his rookie season and onwards Dak imploded himself out of a contract and soon a job!

See this is why your posts are ridiculous, you see Romo as a Roger and Troy more than you see Dak like Romo.......so Far everything about Dak mirrors Romo.. Again I love Romo he played his heart out for a coach that shouldn't have had a job, Kinda like Dak......the records, stats, coach are the same.....amazing... So what part of Romo is like Troy and Roger?.....you can't say "Romo was a winner" records so far look alike, Garrett was problem or both Dak and Romo couldn't get it done....anything else is ridiculous....

Ridiculous and might I add insulting to the game is comparing Deer in the headlights Dak to the 3 Franchise QB of ours from the past.

I didn't you compared Romo to Troy and Roger......I'm only pointing out there is nothing factual that is separating Romo and Dak during their first 4 season of starting...So please enlighten me as to what you see from Romo that you can compare him to Aikman and Staubach? Because its going to have to have something to do with stats and man you line on stats says they don't matter...If you go back to record...well we both know how that ends....

There are good QBs in every draft. Maybe not Tom Brady’s or Aaron Rodgers but we can certainly find Dak Prescotts

Of course there are good QBs in every draft, but no team gets 1st dibs on whoever they want, and even if they did they are as likely or more to come up with a Blaine Gabbart or EJ Manuel as a DeShaun Watson. Odds naturally would be better with a top 10 pick, but the Cowboys probably won’t have that anyway, but even if they did, there are guys like JaMarcus Russell, RG III, Josh Rosen, Marcus Mariota, Jake Locker, Mark Sanchez and on and on that don’t work out, so history proves, again, it just isn’t as simple as getting a strong QB at any time a team wants.
