Matt Johnson was officially waived by the Dallas Cowboys on August 26th to trim the roster down to the 75-man requirement during the preseason.

Johnson was drafted by the Cowboys in the fourth round of the 2012 draft and never saw the field in a regular season game. Johnson’s NFL career was plagued by training camp and preseason injuries and the team decided to part ways last month.
