FRISCO, Texas – It was the most publicized storyline of the year – a delicate situation that could have disrupted the locker room in the middle of a special season.

I think some of our fans (on both sides of the fence) could take a lesson from these two.

Every time I think I want to chime in on one of those debate threads, I see something stupid and just go "Nvm."

Sooo... nvm.. lol

While I appreciate Garrett explaining the thinking behind the fateful decision that failed spectacularly, it doesn't make me feel any better.

Keeping Dak?

Seriously?

I love Romo but this nonsense is just fairytales at this point. I could understand if Romo has had runs in the past but he hasn't so acting like he is some kind of great playoff QB is just a fairytale.

Dak Prescott and the offense put up 31 points, I have no doubt they would've put up 40+ if it wasn't for a couple untimely penalties.

… and, Butler could catch a pass that hit him right in the hands.

They thought that despite 50 years of NFL history, they could be the first team to win the Super Bowl with a rookie QB. They didn't even win one game. They were more concerned with preserving a winning streak... even though they only had one loss and could certainly absorb a couple more. They then proceeded to get knocked out by an injury riddled team that had SIX losses. I'm glad we had our priorities straight to keep a shiny win/loss record, it was obviously essential. Our three stooges brain trust of Garrett, Jones and Jones got the fate they deserved.
And sorry Dak slobberers, please spare me the stats from Dak's phony nice game. For years I've had to listen to Romo haters repeatedly tell me that Romo's stats don't matter, all that matters is playoff "wins". So forgive me if I'm not as impressed with Dak tying Quincy for worst winning percentage in Cowboy playoff history (.000). Maybe Jerry will present Dak with a medal, and allow his slobberers to order replicas off of Cowboys.com.

30 seconds to go and a tie game is closer than Romo has got in the decade that he has had the job but somehow he would've done better against the hottest team in the league.

Ok

Don't really care to go back and forth with you. You obviously have some agenda against Dak Prescott with a post like that. The guy put together the best season in rookie QB history by every possible measuring point but you compare him to Quincy Carter? Hmmm...yes agenda.

Wow, what logic, comparing results of games from entirely different seasons. I'm impressed, Dak was "closer" to beating a team they should have beat than Romo was to beating their team they should have beat? What is this, horseshoes?
Enjoy that Dak 0-1 in elimination, spotlight, do or die record, or whatever the Romo haters called them back in the day. It's funny how it all comes full circle right back in your face.

Countdown until Romo is no longer a Cowboy and this dude will follow him to his next team begins in 10, 9, 8, 7,…

Yeah I don't get it.

I love both QB's. I defended Romo for years against unwarranted criticism. I have friends of mine that are Eagle and Giant fans and Dak gets more respect than some of our fans.

This isn't politics. The way some people are, you would think Dak just beat Romo in the Presidential election. These are guys from the same team, both excellent players and this Dak's team now pretty much due to age. If Dak single handidly lost us this game yesterday, I could understand...but there were a lot of aspects to point fingers at....none of which is the offense.

soon mods will just make a DAK & ROMO part of the forum so all these posts that get into this VS stuff will go there to clear things up on the fanzone part like they do with the coaching threads.

Hopefully it will all stop when Tony leaves.

It's brutal that people can make fans that loved Romo and defended him for a decade have to bring up his playoff past just because of the idiocy of some of these posts.

There was no guarantee that Romo could beat the Packers. None. This isn't New England vs Houston and you're deciding between Brady and Brissett. There was no guarantee that romo wouldn't get hurt on a hit, or be able to scramble away if pressure came. None. So why wouldn't you want your rookie to have this experience? You'd prefer he go through these playoff jitters next year or beyond just so you can give a guy who hasn't played more than 3 games in 2 years a shot?

Come on man.
