It will be a mistake starting him in place of Elliott. He's a role player. The more McFadden you see the less you want him in there.

Start Morris. He's a true workhorse back.

This is the truth, McFadden is better as a change of pace or give starter a breather for a series type of back.

I'd like not to believe this but it does seem Morris is a momentum type that once warmed to operating temperature excels.
While lurking in the Colts game thread several (I believe, or maybe just one pretty convincing poster)
Stated Darren was looking gassed and was out of his element having 10-12 touches in two series that led to a fumble in what was a stellular looking Drive.
IDK?

DMC's upright runninig style exposes him to big hits, and unlike Murray he doesn't finish his runs with a nasty forearm or punch to deter the guys trying to blow him up. No defender fears McFadden.

Copy! He tends to go down pretty easy but he's still pretty fast

Murray for the most part did not finish his runs either. He ran out of bounds way too often. He did not finish his runs quite often, except his contract year he did better.
DMC showed he can finish his runs.

And when Murray did try to finish his runs, or fight for extra yards...he fumbled....Yes, DMC fumbled against the colts, which he is not known for fumbling as Murray is...but it happened in a PS game, so he will learn from that.

DMC will be quite fine IMO, no way they start Morris over him. After the 1st 6 games DMC should have about 5-600 yards

It'll take him 0 games to get back again. I do think the suspension will stand in some form, and then he'll take it to court. This thing is a long way from being out of the headlines.

Morris might be one of the more overrated players on our roster.

We're going to be fine. McFadden was averaging 8.8 yards per carry in the first damn quarter with Chaz Green at guard.

Exactly. McFadden can absolute finish runs with power, and he does run more upright but that doesn't expose him to big hits -- instead, it doesn't allow him to have much wiggle.

McFadden gets tripped up on 5-8 yard runs that an elite runner like Zeke turns into 12-20 yard runs because of his ability to elude tacklers.

Either way, McFadden's straight upfield running style helps get yards that Morris doesn't get -- Alf dances in the backfield too much. Save that dancing for the secondary!
