No it doesn't.

With the game being played before the Super Bowl, all the Broncos and Seahawks Pro Bowlers need to be replaced. That has to be 10-15 guys, if not more. Many 49ers and Patriots won't be going either.

The Pro Bowl is a farce. How many "Pro Bowlers" are there? 100? 150? More? Who knows.

What matters is who makes the All Pro team. Tyron Smith made 2nd team All Pro. Nobody else. That's it. That's a much better indicator of the talent on this team than the Pro Bowl is

The guy in the aricle makes a good point. The team is top heavy in talent. The first 6-10 guys are probably as good as any the the league. The problem is that a team has 53 players. And the bottom 43 guys are probably as bad as any team in the NFL. Injuries are a piece of that, but only a tiny piece I would submit. Every team has injures to key players. It's how you fill that hole that can make the difference between a contender and 8-8.

It's a product of overpaying by Jerry at the top. And also Jerry not able to draft quality starters in the middle rounds like the Seahawks, 49ers and Patriots seem to do every year.

On the other hand, the All-Pro team is selected by a group of sportswriters whose knowledge might be questionable and who sometimes don't even vote for guys at the correct positions.

Maybe so, but the All Pro team has a lot more legitimacy than the Pro Bowl does. The Pro Bowl has none.

the ALL PRO nominations are still respected by virtually everyone. Mainly because you really do have to stand out THAT year to get one.
