I don't like not knowing either. Dunbar should compete. Turbin is another downhill runner like McFadden but I see him competing assuming he can block and catch. I'd like to see a big back come in an compete. They will bring in a Dunbar clone IMO as well as an all purpose rookie and some camp bodies. Sometimes one of these guys surprises.

On offense this is a small worry for me.

I don't see anyone talking about backup center or swing tackle which to be is a much issue to me. We need a TE from somewhere assuming we're actually going to use him. I have an issue with using a player too much because they are HOF bound. Had it with Emmitt and now with Witten. They are remiss in not developing a TE. They should be looking for a fast, big, athletic TE who will give LBers and safeties fits. I think Escobar can be that guy but I could be wrong. Then we could sure use a big reasonably fast WR.

A lot of positions are troublesome. Thankfully this is offseason and not preseason so we have plenty of time to fix it.

While Dunbar's injury history is very problematic not many people consider him overrated. I think most would give him an incomplete and would really like to see what the guy can do.

Name another player on the Boys who has his speed, missem', and ability to not only catch passes but line up in the slot or outside.

I hope some aren't confusing his inability to stay on the field with a lack of talent.

Bring Henry in if he's there in the second round. The position is in trouble period if we go into next season as is. McFadden was healthy last season, but if he gets all the carries this season and goes down, we have who exactly?

McFadden was outstanding, Turbin showed promise, Dunbar is really more of an X Factor player than a running back. Draft the best RB available in about the 4th round. We how well everyone competes in training camp and watch the waiver wires. We'll be okay at RB.

What about the RB from Utah; Booker I believe? Isn't he projected as a legit 3 down back? I would love Zeke I just don't see it happening.

Goodness if you felt DMac had an outstanding year I can only imagine what you felt about Murray the year before...personally I would hardly classify the year Dmac had as outstanding...that is a word best used for the truly great backs with great years....imo.

Dunbar is the singular most overrated bottom feeder I can recall since Costa.

Would have agreed with that heading into the 2015 season but his performance in the passing game prior to his season ending injury has changed my opinion. The Cowboys appeared to be fazing Dunbar out nearing the end of the 2014 season he didn't have a single touch in the playoffs but the loss of Murray kept him in the fold. Always felt his niche would be out of the backfield in the passing game and he was terrific the first 3 games until he was injured.

He was the Cowboys leading receiver after week 3 with 21 catches for 215 yards. In the opener he came up huge on the Cowboys final drive with a 24 yard and 16 yard catch and run that helped us pull that game out. He torched Atlanta with 10 catches for 100 yards with Brandon Weeden at QB. The Cowboys have found a spot for him and depending on how he bounces back from his injury I would be surprised if he's not brought back.

The thought with Dunbar has always been that he could be a Darren Sproles type out of the backfield and he looked the part until he got injured. Had he stayed healthy he very likely would have had over 700 receiving yards with the type of offense we were running with our backup QBs and Dez not being right all year.

We need a reliable short yardage back who can push the pile and move the chains on 3rd down. It remains to be seen if an upgrade for McFadden can be found as our lead back but I doubt the Cowboys want him carrying the ball 239 times again and press their luck he can stay healthy another season. The running game has to become more consistent from week to week and until we can find an elite starter we'll have to come up with a solid rotation to take some pressure off Romo if we want to keep him healthy.

Didn't start the first four games, didn't benefit from a downfield passing threat, yet still rushed for over 1,000 yards and was 4th in the NFL in rushing. Yes, I call that outstanding.

Someone the other day used the word "spectacular" to describe McFadden's season which goes to show how little some expected from him. It amazes me how many are talking up his season as something great when many were talking down Murray's 2014 season.
