Im here at work, listening to DC sports radio and they are crying about the ESPN coverage on the game. They are saying that ESPN is pro Cowboys and the coverage last night was pro Cowboys. Now I know for us, it seems like the the opposite. I know I think ESPN is very anti Cowyboys. They arent even talking about the game, they said they have no problem with the loss. But the coverage is something they cant get over.

How funny is that? Being stationed up here in DC for the last 3 years has made me understand that these Skins fans talk about the Cowboys all the time. I think the Boy are in the heads of the Skins and their fans more so than the Cowboys or their fans worrying about them. Just my two cents

I think many fans think their teams are treated unfairly. Accoding to Saints fans who were sitting around me at the Thanksgiving Day game last year the officals always side with the Cowboys after all they call them America's team.

I could not help but laugh since so many here think everyone is anti cowboys. I guess it is ones own perspective. :laugh2:

Gruden was slobbering over the Skins so much that it was nauseating.

Puh-leeeze.

Aikman is a great example of that. Every Commander/Giants/Eagles fan I know states that he is Pro Cowboys when he broadcasts their games, yet a ton of Cowboys fans claim they can't stand him because he is so anti-Cowboys now. Could be that these folks try to be impartial and people just tune into the pieces that they want to hear.

I didn't think they were biased just bad... especially Gruden who kept messing up the Cowboys players names...

Jesse Holley became Jolley
Terrance Newman became Anthony Newman

Seems to be the case. Myself I think Troy trys to be fair and balanced in the booth. I have no problems with that.

I think the ESPN guys were 'less awful' towards the Cowboys than usual. I think they generally respected what Tony was doing out there because he was injured. They all picked us to win....and they were right. So really hard to fault them there. And Keyshawn is about as anti-Dallas as there is, which is ironic since he used to play for us.

Every commentator loves Jason Witten. Only ******** morons like Doc Walker would take Chris Cooley or Fred Davis over Witten who is on his way to the HOF.

But on the flip side of things...they were talking up Rex Grossman a great deal and talking about how he's changed. He's still an inaccurate thrower of the football and very turnover prone. I can't remember if it was Dilfer or Young...but they took him to task over his years in Chicago which I think even the biggest Rex fan could see he was unprofessional when he played with the Bears.

They also talked up Jim Haslett like he was the late Jim Johnson. The guy was let go from the Steelers and his defenses stunk in New Orleans and with the Rams.

I thought from a commentary standpoint, they were basically even. But, I think it's because of Romo being so badly hurt and it probably didn't help that DeAngelo Hall made an arse out of himself. People forget that Hall's comments included purposedly going after Felix's shoulder. With the Romo comments, one could say that he's only hitting the QB where he legally can. But with the Felix comments, it's obvious that he's a no class ******* who I will click my freaking heels when he is bankrupt in about 10 years.

I agree. I told myself last night I wished I could mute Grudens mouth. I used to like the guy but he gets rediculous w/ some of the jock riding he does.

He doesn't even do it for legit BEAST players. He's always going on and on about so and so and how he likes that guy and that guy is a football player and that guy could play for me.

It was almost like he drew the Commander straw in the beginning of the show and Jaws drew the Cowboy straw.

Oh, the coverage was pro-cowboys? Well, I think the refs were pro-Commanders. I'd gladly trade friendly tv coverage for friendly penalty calls.

I had to turn the sound off with the way they were talking up the Commander OL while ignoring all the tripping and holding that was going on.

Well I think it's really tied into the fact that the Cowboys get ratings. We know very well that ESPN isn't in love with Dallas by any means.

I agree! I got so tired of listening to the Skins lovefest.

Gruden slurps whoever is leading on the scoreboard.

Steve Young called Rex Grossman a top 10 QB in the NFL by the end of this year.

ESPN was hard on them? Did they listen to Gruden? Chucky is my favorite but the guy was wearing burgundy and gold last night.

I listened to it on my phone. ESPN goes with what gives them the best ratings. I had no problem with what they said until they admitted their bitterness about Romo. But I remember Romo debut on MNF in 2006 and all they could talk about was Tiki and the Giants. Even when the Cowboys tried to make a game out of it, Jaws and Kornheiser still wanted to talk about Tiki because it was his last year. Their complaints was no different than Norm's complaints in 06.

But if they think they show bias in favor of us at all times, they are very wrong.
